DIMITRIOS MANTES My dear friends, all of you who immediately showed your satisfaction in this movement of mine, thank you very much. Today more than ever there is a need to trust our LANGUAGE and rely on its timeless value. It is OUR NATIONAL HERITAGE and I find it completely unthinkable and unfair, to exist…y people of any age who are thirsty to make it an estate and a bequest, but they can't, or because they are abroad, either because the obligations became so many and the movements difficult and time-consuming. Please support this effort of national importance, those of you who understand the difficulty but also the need of this undertaking and to spread it to every person, to every Greek and Philhellene. The Greek Language as the mother of all languages, it upgrades man and promotes him with real values, in an unattainable knowledge,cultural and humanitarian level, where every possibility of deviation and misunderstanding in the modern globalized kykyeon, is annihilated.

The premiere of the Melbourne Greek Student Film Festival was successfully held at Como Palace Cinema, in the context of the 17th Greek Film Festival.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Christos Salamanis, Consul General of Greece in Melbourne, the expatriate Federal Member of Parliament Maria Vamvakinou, the expatriate State Undersecretary Jenny Mikakos, officials as well as a crowd of people, of parents and students that overwhelmed the two theaters where the students' film creations were shown.
The program was a product of the cooperation of the Education Office of the Consulate General of Greece in Melbourne, of the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne and Victoria, of the Antipodes Festival and the Victorian Ministry of Education and was kindly sponsored by the Victorian Multicultural Commission.
Overall, 21 movies, duration 4 minutes each, creations of government college students, evenings/Saturdays (community and ecclesiastical) and private schools in Victoria, where the Greek language is taught, as well as students of the Greek studies departments of the Universities of Victoria, they competed in four categories and won 12 awards (three per category), which was accompanied by a cash prize.
The award criteria were;: a) creativity and imagination b) Amount and appropriateness of language used and c) Technical picture and sound quality.
People hiding behind the sisitio
Every day more and more, most Greeks, forward to the canteen of the Feeding Center of the Municipality of Athens For lunch today he has chicken with rice. It doesn't exist, sure, no table nor dishes. Just a bench and plastic bowls. There is no family to say a prayer before eating, and no children to tell the news from school. Here everyone prays alone. And everyone wants the same thing. May he have something to eat tomorrow. On the sidewalk of Piraeus, parade of ghosts. From the 12.00 and after, the queue in front of the canteen of the Feeding Center of the Municipality of Athens is getting longer and longer. Every day more and more people, more and more Greeks. If there is something to learn from them, is that anyone could end up here.
Ten languages
Like Mr. Emmanuel, who insists "no Manolis. Emmanuel!». Who speaks ten languages. He worked in hotels for thirty years. Which has traveled thirty countries. Who has four children. TEACHING GREEK FOR ADULTS – INTERNET ADULT’S GREEK CORSES
ARISTOTELIOS ACADEMY OF HELLENIC STUDENTS FROM A DISTANCE
Dear friends of the Greek Language, After the decision of the Greek Ministry of Education to close many of the schools abroad,(due to cuts), especially the Greek classes for adults of Greek descent and Philhellenes who attended Greek classes, a big gap was created in this matter. Also many people already having many obligations (work, family, movement etc),they cannot follow a similar section, while teaching at home via the Internet, it would be a great service.
With this in mind, the distance learning ARISTOTELIOS ACADEMY OF HELLENIC was created, based on the existing legislative framework of Greek proficiency, with three levels of language proficiency, which is certified every year by an examination committee of the Ministry of Education. This is for all adults who wish to have a similar certification in Greek, or simply for their own improvement of the Greek Language, from simple grammatical and syntactic phenomena, to analyzes of literary texts.
The lessons will take place via SKYPE, with eye contact, acoustics and dialectics of texts, as well as production of written Speech with direct assistance, proofreading and consulting, in live time, one by one (Aristotle's method, one teacher-one student).

"Last Goodbye" by Yiannis Dalianidis
Personalities from the fields of art, of intellectuals and politics addressed the afternoon, last but not least, cheers to Yiannis Dalianidis, in the First Cemetery of Athens, where, according to the wishes of the deceased, his civil funeral was held.
The dear man and most commercial Greek director, who associated his name with the golden age of cinema, they said goodbye, including, the president of the Democratic Left, F. Kuvelis, MPs I. Vouros and B. Apostolatos and the mayor of Athens, N. Kaklamanis. He was also there, the Z. Laskari with Al. Licorice, Marinella, the M. Plesas, the G. Frizzy, the I. Bezos, the Z. Sapundzakis, the F. Metaxopoulos, the K. Voutsas, the M. Karagiannis, the F. Georgitsis, the T. Sugar, the B. Barba, the K. Georgousopoulos and many representatives of the theater and the artistic world, who shouted "immortal" when the body left the cemetery hall.
At the request of Yiannis Dalianidis, the costs of the wreaths were deposited in the accounts of the SOS children's villages and in the "child's smile" and the Ark. Among the few wreaths, that were sent, were those of the Association of Greek Producers and the Union of Directors-Producers of Greek Cinema. The Society of Greek Directors was represented by its Board of Directors in a condolence telegram, of which the deceased was a founding member, was emphasized, including: "Yiannis Dalianidis with his life, his work and action, he was a model of man whose virtues are constantly in short supply nowadays. In addition to being a tireless film worker, he was above all a citizen of the world".
