I met Lakis Lazopoulos about six years ago, when I got him the first of a series of interviews for the newspaper I was working for at the time. From time to time I have been told various facts, knowing over’ all that I would not expose him by making them public.
Today and without fear that I will put him in a difficult position, I am writing about a book that he is preparing which will surely provoke a lot of discussions. I know it will contain excerpts from his life -it will not be an autobiography-, which will definitely feed for days on canals, magazines and newspapers.
The good, also, is that some of the chapters will give a different perspective on events that marked him, the way it was, e.g., the story with the boat "Therapin" in Mykonos. The episode that was told to me one night starring him, Sakis Rouvas and Psinakis, having the canals look for them on the island, is indicative of his humor, even in such a difficult time, when everyone was saying their long and short.
The bad thing is that Lazopoulos works so hard and deals with so many different projects, I do not know when this book will end and how many of the stories he has told me from time to time will include. For’ I can not go into specific details, as much as I would like it.
The protagonists, however - except for him- will be enough: by Sakis Rouvas and Elias Psinakis, I mentioned before, to Eleni Menegaki and his favorite best man, Mirka Papakonstantinou, if in the end he does not leave some ap’ outside. All of them seen from his own point of view in moments and periods that left something intense in his memory.
I know that the good thing about Lazopoulos is that he writes as he speaks in his company, simple and understandable, but in a way that can make you fall under the laughter, even if some of his famous friends may not laugh so much…
