Unfortunately none of us could go to his funeral. They are only allowed 9 individuals.
Michalis had a physical problem. He was short, almost a dwarf. Fight on, studied nursing and for years worked as a nurse in both hospital clinics and operating rooms.
He always carried a stool with him. To go up and reach the serums or give the tools to the surgeons when they were in the operating rooms.
Michalis received a lot of mockery, but he never got angry. With nobody.
He was always funny, he did not face anyone, he didn't stop to say "good morning" to anyone, no one was refused help.
About 10 years ago, Michalis was transferred to the Administration.
He even got the position of supervisor. He was a member of Doctors of the World, he was running around, collected for the poor, he gave everything.
And he had a dream to become a priest. And it happened. Before 2 years. Priest without salary. His salary was the one paid by the hospital. All week he came to the hospital in his cassock. He was just reaching the entrance, he would take off his cassock and stay in his shirt.
Michalis became a monk and then a hieromonk. He was single. And as a monk, in his hair, he was given the name Gabriel. On the weekends he would leave and go to his Metropolis, in Serres. There he had asked to be sent to work in distant and isolated villages that did not have a permanent priest. Mountains and valleys. And last winter, I remember him always cold because there were villages where the car couldn't reach because of the snow and he walked until he got there. After the operation, he lived in the villages. He entered the houses of the inhabitants. Find out what problems they have. Forgotten people, they had found someone who cared. It was not a few times that he brought them to the hospital, he arranged for our own doctors to see them because some were neglected.
And our Michalis was always laughing.
And he died. Life's only certainty, the death.
I write them as a memorial. There are many Michaels, but I knew him.

*The hieromonk Father Gabriel, by world Michalis Nikolaidis, 53 died at noon on Friday in the ICU of the Kavala hospital, where he had been hospitalized for days with coronavirus. His funeral took place yesterday )
Here's Another Man, which from what we read, after certainty he was awarded the Prize of True Life, Of Life without Death. His Memory is eternal and I am sure that those who have known him - now also us- we will be in his care. All things are possible under the Purpose of God. Amen.
A lady asked him: «How much is one egg sold for?;»
The poor salesman replied: «0,25€ an egg, lady».
She told him: «I will take 6 eggs for €1.25 or I'll leave».
The poor salesman replied: «Come and get them at the price you want. Maybe that's a good start because I haven't sold a single egg today».
He took the eggs and left feeling like he had won. She took her fancy car and went to a restaurant with her friend. There, they ordered the, what they liked. They ate a little and left a lot of what they ordered. He then went to pay the bill. The bill was €45 ! He gave €50 and asked the restaurant owner to keep the change.
This incident may have seemed quite normal to the owner, but very painful for the poor egg seller.
The point is,
Because we always show that we have power when we buy from the needy; And why do we become generous to those who don't even need our generosity;
I once read somewhere:
“My father used to buy simple goods from poor people at high prices, even though he didn't need them. Sometimes he paid more for them. I was worried about this act and asked him why he is doing it; Then my father answered: “It is charity wrapped in dignity, my child“
I really liked it and blew it, from the social media, for our Reader Friends.
In recent years more and more athletes, patients and physical therapists use tapes that look like colorful stickers on their bodies (mainly in shoulders, knees, waist, forearms , calves etc).
These films are calledmotion pictures (Kinesiolοgy tapes, kinesio tape, KTape , kt tape etc) and applied to the skin with various benefits for patients and people who deal with itfitness, some of which according to the literature we will mention below:
a) Lightlysupport and supporting injured muscles and tendons without limiting range of motion (such as e.g. it is done with a splint that completely limits the range of motion (ROM)).
b) Reduction of pain (and of the year) , since during the application of the kinesio tape the skin is slightly lifted above the point of pain, resulting in a reduction of the pressure received by the nerve-receptors under the skin at the specific point.
c) Reduction of edema and inflammation , since by reducing the pressure at the point, the lymphatic fluid is better channeled.
d) Faster recovery of over-trained muscles , since through the better circulation achieved by the use of motion picture film, training by-products such as e.g. lactic acid ,that exist in those tired muscles, allowing more oxygenated blood to pass through resulting in their rejuvenation.
e) Better perfusion local and thus prevention of muscle spasms and cramps.
While the athlete is wearing the kinesiology tapes, he can perform his exercise routine normally with gym tires , weights , swimming, run, massage etc.
