"Madame Soussou", from the State Theater of Northern Greece

The State Theater of Northern Greece presents the play "Madame Sousou" by Dimitris Psathas, directed by Giorgos Armenis. The unsurpassed comedy of Dimitris Psathas, will be performed at the Royal Theatre, with Fotini Baxevanis in the leading role. The premiere of the show will be given on Friday 10 February.

This is an extremely rare theatrical adaptation made by the author himself for Mrs. Katerina's troupe, (with Emilios Veakis in the role of Panagiotakis) the 1942, and has not reappeared since.

THEATER : "Fodariko" with a third wreath in Thessaloniki

"The third wreath" by Stamatis Fasoulis and Thanasis Niarchou, based on the book by Kostas Tachtsis, presented by 4 January 2012 at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall.
"The Third Wreath", one of the most important modern Greek novels, it was issued 1962. Autobiographical work, with persons from the life and memories of the author, outlines in a way unprecedented for its time a piece of modern Greek history through the eyes of two women, of Nina and Hekabe.
Two women familiar, full of strength and weaknesses, they unfold in front of the viewers the thread of their lives: weddings, infidelities, divorces, deaths, financial failures, family dramas.
The personal, their little story is tied to the big story, with the history of modern Greece, the main events of the first half of the last century, sometimes decisive and sometimes as a background in an emotional landscape. Nina's third wreath, her last marriage to her husband and son of Hekabe, is where the story begins and ends. A circle that closes all the passion of the two heroines for life, the struggle for survival, the cruelty, the tenderness, but also their humor and self-mockery, which is transferred to the theater stage.

Nikos Portokaloglou in Thessaloniki

He welcomes his friends to a different musical performance
This is not another unplugged, nor for forced cuts due to crisis. In the Mill of Thessaloniki, at 2 December, Nikos Portokaloglou welcomes his friends to a different musical performance that aims to act as an antidote to the pessimistic climate of the time.
After a ride of almost 30 years, we know very well that every new step of the songwriter is the result of his "hidden, of endless thirst", of his restless spirit that is not comfortable with the acquired. So in this year's show we are invited to a game where the songs are stripped bare and transformed to rediscover their soul and their origin..
Songs that in the first performances leave, due to electrical instrumentation, just a hint of oriental root, here with oud and fiddle, they will clearly show where they come from. Also lyrical songs that often did not find their place in the big concerts here with strings and guitars will be highlighted again.
