Connecting to the source… The operating regulation for the mandatory energy efficiency regime, which, among other things, obliges energy companies to take quantified measures for the rational use of energy, worth several tens of millions of euros, published in the Official Gazette (1242B/11-4-2017), as announced yesterday by the Ministry of Environment – Energy. Enforcement regimes include measures that compel energy companies (petroleum products, electricity etc.) to implement actions to improve energy efficiency in homes, in tertiary and industrial sector facilities, as well as in passenger and truck vehicles. The actions are divided into awareness actions and energy efficiency technical actions. The awareness actions concern measures of behavior and rational use of energy by end consumers and technical measures in works, such as insulation, home appliance upgrade etc. Energy efficiency measures are taken in implementation of a relevant European directive.
