The General Secretariat of Trade and Consumer Protection of the Ministry of Economy and Development, on the occasion of the nationwide strike in shops announced by the Federation of Private Employees of Greece (O.I.Y.E) on Sunday 15 January, clarifies the following:Regarding the optional operation of commercial stores on Sundays, it is clarified that the current regime remains unchanged, according to the provisions of the law 4177/2013. Specifically, commercial shops can operate on the following eight Sundays:1) On the first Sunday at the start of the two regular discount periods2) Both of them (2) Sundays before Christmas Day3) On Palm Sunday4) On the last Sunday of each year and5) Two Sundays in total during the interim sale periods.Continue at source ....
