Shock elements: 1 to the 5 Greeks could not be fed satisfactorily 2016

A nationwide investigation into the living conditions of Greeks brings shocking facts to light, their state of health as well as their access to medical care.
It is indicative that one in five Greeks stated that in the last year he or his family could not feed himself satisfactorily due to financial reasons!
At the same time, the 34% of the population spends approx 75% of his income to cover bills and debts and the 15% he spends his entire income on the same causes. In fact, rate 33,13% faces several or serious financial difficulties as a result of which he is unable to cope with debts and bills.
The above figures result from the nationwide survey of the National School of Public Health, the results of which were presented in the context of the 12th Panhellenic Conference of the Health Economics Sector of ESDY.
This is a longitudinal analysis of the self-reported health status of the Greek population in order to investigate the effects of austerity policies on health behaviors carried out in collaboration with the research company GPO.
