The arrival of the Ford Focus RS has been finalized 2014 with a four-cylinder turbo engine with displacement 2,3 liters and performance 335 horsepower. The third-generation RS will use the same engine as the European-spec Mustang which will be introduced on 2014, but with a slightly higher performance to win the battle of impressions in a category where the public always wants something more. With the finalization of the use of this engine, the scenarios of using electric motors on the rear axle for more power and less pollution were rejected. So there won't be some form of "four-wheel drive" like a hybrid arrangement could possibly offer. In the new Focus RS the hybrid scenarios came to an end. The required technology and above all the cost were prohibitive for a sport hatchback.
Apparently on gocar we have already presented you with the first processed photo so that you can get a small taste of what we expect. The Focus RS will feature Ford's Sound Symposer system, which controls the noise of the engine that reaches the cabin for greater enjoyment on sports routes. Like the predecessor, the new RS will feature the modified form of MacPherson struts known as RevoKnuckle thanks to which the offset of the kingpin is reduced, but also the angle of inclination of the royal pin, which cause the well-known "fishing" in the steering wheel during acceleration in front-wheel drive. With this arrangement, this phenomenon is minimized and of course the stress on the acrombars is reduced. The new generation Focus RS will also have a limited slip differential to limit the spin of the inner wheel in the "closed" parts without any other interference in engine management.
