At… hammer rare Aston Martin DB3S

In an auction for… serious collectors, one of the most beautiful models of the British car industry will be available, a Aston Martin DB3S of 1955.

When the 1952 Aston Martin was presenting the DB3, the only thing on her mind was winning Le Mans. Nevertheless, the car was quite heavy and not so durable for such a test, so the manufacturer came back a year later with the improved DB3S. Within the next few years, this particular version managed to win several races, like at Goodwood and Silverstone and succeed 2 second places at Le Mans. From these successes, several prominent customers of the brand asked to acquire a DB3S and so, the company produced 20 street models, one of which is currently available for sale.

This carries the chassis 118 and it is considered one of the best preserved preserved today. It was originally bought by Dutch racing driver Hans Davids, while a few years later it passed into the hands of an American, to end it 1992 to its current owner, who in turn sells it. The car will be auctioned by RM Auctions, at 18 August, so those who believe… come along. For the rest, fortunately, dreams don't cost money…
