One of the rarest cars ever built by Rolls-Royce is going under the hammer and the price, as is likely, will be asked to pay the buyer reaches the 2 million. British pounds!
Its official model name 1912, is a 'Double Pullman Limousine' although it became known as a 'Corgi', and belongs to the "Silver Ghost" series.
The vehicle is believed to be the only one in circulation, after construction it was handed over to John M Stephens who made changes to the car's interior and upholstery.
The current owner of the car, James Knight remembers how luxury vehicles used to be built: "Customers would buy the engine and chassis and hire a specialist coachbuilder to do the interior".
“The first owner, hired the best manufacturers and the car is indicative of them (of taste) of the upper class during the Edwardian period'.
Rolls-Royce is still operational today, as well as the mechanical set 7,3 liters with them 6 cylinders, drives the vehicle satisfactorily. Its final speed even reaches 80 with 90 km/h.
