Its new original model called Disco Volante 2012 Concept is preparing the lot…special Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera in order to present it in a few days in Geneva.
Another special model is expected to be added to the special range of the "sophisticated" Italian house Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera. This is Disco Volante 2012 which will be presented as a prototype at the Geneva show in a few days.

 Older Italian car fanatics among you may remember the legendary Alfa Romeo C52 Disco Volante. The aesthetics of the new prototype is based very much on the historical model of Alfa Romeo which seems to successfully combine retro style and modern dynamism.

As highlighted by Carrozzeria, the new concept is based on a body entirely made of carbon fiber and other individual elements of aluminum, with the construction being done by hand. It is also emphasized that thanks to the special design style it incorporates, an aerodynamic drag coefficient of just 0.25Cd has been achieved, a very low number that creates conditions for low consumptions.
Whether this is of course possible is another story…since under its hood it houses a beastly V8 engine 4,7 liters with power 450 horses.
