The first unofficial photos of the new Italian mega on-off are now a fact! Strikingly reminiscent of the flagship RSV4, the new Caponord is expected to be produced in two versions.
The photos you see were taken during the Piaggio Group's annual dealer conference, in Monte Carlo, from the Italian magazine Motociclismo.
The model you see is the more asphalt version of the new Caponord and has cast aluminum wheels 17 inches. According to the Motociclismo website (Motociclismo.it), a "dump" model will also follow, for the most adventurous riders. This will carry spoked wheels with the diameter of the front not exceeding, in any case, them 19 inches. So two versions, with one facing the asphalt and the other playing the role of the all-round model for the new "Capo" in an attempt by the Italian company to satisfy as many riders as possible.
From these first pictures you could tell that the new Caponord is based entirely on the Dorsoduro 1200. However, according to information, some parts of the motorcycle frame have been studied from scratch, so that driving behavior is not disturbed, because of the posts with the longest routes. The exhaust, which has moved lower and to the right, is of course also different. The front discs are diam 320 mm. and are combined with radially mounted calipers, the fork is inverted and adjustable, while the rear shock absorber is almost vertically mounted to the standards of the rest of the company's models that use a hybrid chassis (aluminum plates combined with steel grid).
End, in the electronic systems of the new Caponord we expect to see both the three mappings for the injection of the two-cylinder engine 130 horses, as of course the rear wheel traction control system.
