Car maintenance and protection from the cold

The phenomenon of frost on the surface of the car is common, during the winter months. What should we do in these cases and what precautions can we take?;
Πολλά είναι τα προβλήματα που μπορούν να δημιουργηθούν εξαιτίας του παγετού κατά τους χειμερινούς μήνες. Ωστόσο υπάρχουν ορισμένα κομβικά σημεία, in which, εάν επιδείξουμε την απαραίτητη προσοχή, we can make our lives easier, to maintain our car better and make our journeys safer. Let's look at some simple things, that can us “to shield” against the ice.
Use of antifreeze
Basic and primary issue for every driver (in every era, but much more so in extreme temperature conditions, such as winter and summer) is the correct use of antifreeze. This helps the engine to run smoothly in adverse conditions (whether it is very low temperatures, either for very high).
Necessary actions during the winter season
-Antifreeze for locks/hinges and seals
-Antifreeze for wipers
– Anti-fog glass spray
– Anti-fog sponge
– Gloves
– Emergency jump leads
Beware of cleaners
When temperatures are low enough, as in snowfall or frost, it is good when stopping your car to lift the wipers upright. In this way, you will avoid the effects of the wipers sticking to the windshield, because of the frost.
Watch out for the battery
The role of the battery is vital for the car and should be given special attention, in order to always be able to fulfill its role. You should know that at very low temperatures the battery is stressed quite a bit. Great care is needed when checking fluids, therefore you should regularly top up with either special or distilled water (as long as it is possible to top up - usually for old type batteries). If your battery is dry type, i.e. you cannot top up liquids, you should check it at regular intervals through the special indicator (at the top of it), την οποία διαθέτουν οι περισσότερες μπαταρίες.
