The Athens Festival, honoring them 100 years since the death of August Strindberg, chooses as the opening Greek performance at Piraeus 260(building D) the "Miss Julia", work that caused a huge scandal when it was written 1888.

The current approach to the project is signed by Dimitris Lignadis, who "reads" the naturalistic demand of August Strindberg in another way, as well as the infamous battle of the sexes that concerns the specific project, but also the entire work of the author. As he emphasizes, "he is making a show in which the question "where is the man and the woman" dominates. In other words, poetry and reality within these two stage beings".

The famous couple Julia-Jean are performed by Stefania Gouliotis and the director himself, while the enigmatic Christine is played by Maria Protopapa.

Ο Αύγουστος Στρίντμπεργκ εστίασε σε αυτό το έργο όχι μόνο στην πάλη των δύο φύλων, but also in the conflict of two social classes (τη λαϊκή τάξη που εκπροσωπεί ο Ζαν και την αριστοκρατική τάξη που εκπροσωπεί η Τζούλια). Πέρα λοιπόν από το προαιώνιο σύμπλεγμα αρσενικού-θηλυκού, υποβόσκει και η αντιπαλότητα ανάμεσα σε μια σαθρή και καταρρέουσα αριστοκρατία και μια ανερχόμενη –πλην αδίστακτη- λαϊκή τάξη.

Αν και μικρότερο σε έκταση, θεωρείται ίσως το πιο αξιοσημείωτο από τα δράματα του συγγραφέα, γιατί –εκτός των άλλων- επιχειρεί να αναδιαμορφώσει τη δραματική τέχνη. Η τραγωδία εκτυλίσσεται όλη σε μία πράξη, στην κουζίνα ενός εξοχικού σπιτιού και μόνο με τρία πρόσωπα.
