The national final for the selection of the song that will represent Greece in the 57th Eurovision Song Contest has been completed. Audience and jury were asked to choose between the four contestants, which they presented at the River West Mall, where the event was organized, their songs for the first time on stage.
The evening started with the presenters Maria Kozakou and Giorgos Franzeskakis welcoming the audience and immediately after welcoming Loukas Yorkas to the stage, who represented Greece in last year's competition. Subsequently, they went on stage, to sing their pieces, the rising Christos P. but also George Sampanis, who seemed hesitant when asked if he himself would participate in the Eurovision contest, however, he wished good luck to the candidates.
In the competitive part, as determined by lottery, Dora appeared first with "Baby I'm Yours". Subsequently, Cassiopeia took to the stage to sing 'Killer Bee', immediately after Velvet Fire with the track "No Parking" and finally Eleftheria Eleftheriou who sang "Aphrodisiac". It is worth noting that all the candidates belong to the staff of Universal Music Greece, which has taken over the costs for the participation of the Greek delegation in the competition.
Before the announcement of the results, the nominations of Cyprus were presented, who participates in the competition with Ivi Adamou, of France, represented by the Indonesian-born Anggun, but also of Bulgaria, with Sofi Marinova.
When the time came to announce the results, the two presenters opened the envelope and, without any particular delays, revealed that Eleftheria Eleftheriou will represent us at the 57th Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Aphrodisiac". The 23-year-old singer took the stage and, shortly before singing once again the song with which he got the ticket to Baku, Azerbaijan, she thanked her collaborators and record company and declared: "I'm still trying to figure out what's going on!».
