He had been "fighting" cancer for six years now and finally Kostas Karras breathed his last in the early hours of Sunday 6 May at the Athens Medical Center where he was hospitalized.
The 2006 he was informed that he had been "hit" by cancer and underwent chemotherapy, which, unfortunately, did not bring the desired result.
His funeral will take place next Wednesday, at 4 afternoon, from A’ Athens Cemetery, who died at an old age 76 years.
He had described his serious health adventure and the "battle" he was fighting with cancer a few months ago in an interview with "Ciao" magazine: "I wouldn't say I'm at my best. I'm in such a mess right now, that I can't even speak. I'm not quite at my strength, but i can move", while he had continued: "The doctors say it's okay, it's nothing, it will pass. Of course and I have been told that it will be treated with the treatments. It has metastasized to the bones, they didn't catch it in the prostate because it was primary. I don't lose my temper, my psychology is up. I will emerge victorious".
His wife was by his side all this time, Angeliki Baroutsou and his son Vassilis.
His funeral will take place at the First Cemetery of Athens, while the date of his burial is not yet known.
