Ο Johnny Depp γίνεται βασιλιάς της «ψηφιακής ζούγκλας»

THE Johnny Depp  φαίνεται ότι έχει έρθει σε συμφωνία για τον πρωταγωνιστικό ρόλο στην ταινία «King Of The Jungle» , για την ζωή του δημιουργού του McAfee Antivirus  για υπολογιστές. Το σκηνοθετικό δίδυμο του «Focus» – Glenn Ficarra και John Requa – θα ξανασμίξει στην ταινία η οποία βασίζεται στο άρθρο του Joshua Davis «John McAfee’s Last Stand» για το περιοδικό Wired. Το σενάριο της ταινίας φέρει την υπογραφή των Scott Alexander και Larry Karaszewski.

 

Ο McAfee έγινε γνωστός και ιδιαίτερα πλούσιος χάρη στο γνωστό antivirus , το οποίο έσωσε αμέτρητους χρήστες υπολογιστών από ιούς και κακόβουλο λογισμικό. Κάποια στιγμή όμως, ο McAfee αποφάσισε να εξαργυρώσει τις μετοχές του στην εταιρεία που ίδρυσε και μετακόμισε στο Μπελίζ, για να δουλέψει πάνω σε άλλες start-up. Μέχρι εδώ η ιστορία του McAfee θυμίζει αυτή οποιοδήποτε άλλου μεγιστάνα της τεχνολογίας που αποφασίζει να αλλάξει παραστάσεις, αλλά από εδώ και πέρα τα πράγματα περιπλέκονται λίγο και θυμίζουν…film.

 

Μετά από έφοδο στο σπίτι του από επίλεκτη ομάδας της αστυνομίας κατά των συμμοριών, τον Απρίλιο του 2012, έγινε γνωστό ότι ο McAfee μάλλον είχε ζηλέψει τον Heisenberg του «Breaking Bad», καθότι κατασκεύαζε παράνομα φάρμακα. Στο πλαίσιο των ερευνών που έγιναν αργότερα, η αστυνομία βρήκε το πτώμα ενός Αμερικανού ομογενή και γείτονα του McAfee, του Gregory Viant Faull , για τον φόνο του οποίου ο McAfee θεωρήθηκε βασικός ύποπτος . Τελικά δεν του απαγγέλθηκαν κατηγορίες για τον φόνο και ο ίδιος κατάφερε να δραπετεύσει από το Μπελίζ στην Γουατεμάλα, ζητώντας άσυλο. Εκεί προσποιήθηκε ότι έπαθε καρδιακή προσβολή, αλλά οι τοπικές αρχές τον απέλασαν στις ΗΠΑ τον Δεκέμβριο του 2012.

 

Οι αρχές του Μπελίζ δεν απήγγειλαν τελικά άλλες κατηγορίες κατά του McAfee, ούτε επέμεναν στην επιστροφή του για να εκτίσει τις ποινές φυλάκισης που του έχουν επιβληθεί. Nevertheless, όλα τα υπάρχοντα του McAfee κατασχέθηκαν, ενώ το σπίτι του καταστράφηκε υπό αδιευκρίνιστες συνθήκες. Μετά την επιστροφή τους στις ΗΠΑ, ο McAfee επανήλθε στον χώρο της υψηλής τεχνολογίας, εστιάζοντας στην προστασία κινητών τηλεφώνων και την καταπολέμηση των χάκερ.

40 years "Spetses" in Lizis Kalliga's exhibition

Lizi Kalliga divides her time between Athens and Spetses. Through the window of her atelier on the island, she feels that she has conquered small utopias that have come true. The landscapes, various findings, the beach of Agios Nikolaos and its garden , they are four thematic sections, which are presented in a variety of media, such as painting, plan, engraving and photography, projects covering the decades 1976-2016 . It is a clear look from the workshop she has created in her home and shows her very special relationship with this island.
The first landscapes were painted 1976 and others much later. The maturity of the visual art goes hand in hand with the change of the landscape and gives us the possibility to follow the evolution of it and the island at the same time.
