"Last Goodbye" by Yiannis Dalianidis

Personalities from the fields of art, of intellectuals and politics addressed the afternoon, last but not least, cheers to Yiannis Dalianidis, in the First Cemetery of Athens, where, according to the wishes of the deceased, his civil funeral was held.

The dear man and most commercial Greek director, who associated his name with the golden age of cinema, they said goodbye, including, the president of the Democratic Left, F. Kuvelis, MPs I. Vouros and B. Apostolatos and the mayor of Athens, N. Kaklamanis. He was also there, the Z. Laskari with Al. Licorice, Marinella, the M. Plesas, the G. Frizzy, the I. Bezos, the Z. Sapundzakis, the F. Metaxopoulos, the K. Voutsas, the M. Karagiannis, the F. Georgitsis, the T. Sugar, the B. Barba, the K. Georgousopoulos and many representatives of the theater and the artistic world, who shouted "immortal" when the body left the cemetery hall.

At the request of Yiannis Dalianidis, the costs of the wreaths were deposited in the accounts of the SOS children's villages and in the "child's smile" and the Ark. Among the few wreaths, that were sent, were those of the Association of Greek Producers and the Union of Directors-Producers of Greek Cinema. The Society of Greek Directors was represented by its Board of Directors in a condolence telegram, of which the deceased was a founding member, was emphasized, including: "Yiannis Dalianidis with his life, his work and action, he was a model of man whose virtues are constantly in short supply nowadays. In addition to being a tireless film worker, he was above all a citizen of the world".
