Rian Johnson spoke to USA Today without much to say, but revealed the beginning of Episode VIII A little promotion and general talk about 'Rogue One’ and a bit of the usual secrecy of the production that was also present in 'The Force Awakens', we are 11 months before the next episode without anything being leaked about’ this, while of course its title has not yet been announced – for a poster or trailer or reason. The sudden death of Carrie Fisher brought the news that she had shot all her scenes (after all, Episode VIII had generally finished filming and is in post-production), which was the first substantial information we had, without knowing if this development will eventually affect the plot and its connection to the next episode.
