New format from On Telecoms, NetOne and Algonet

In the creation of a new format in the Greek telecommunications market, through "express" merger procedures, the management of On Telecoms is proceeding with the management of the companies NetOne and Algonet. The two shapes will be merged into one, aiming to create a critical mass in the telecommunications market and manage to survive in the competitive market environment. The merger in question will take place without the payment of cash and exclusively through an exchange of shares, in proportion approximately 1 to 3. The resulting new company will retain the On Telecoms brand name, which is clearly more powerful than that of NetOne and Algonet. However, the main shareholders of the scheme Algonet and NetOne will regain control of the company, as then, they will be called upon to cover an increase in the share capital in the new company amounting to 10-15 million. euro. It is recalled that the shareholder of the Algonet-NetOne companies is Sciens Capital Management, BNP Paribas Private Equity and the Olayan group. On the On Telecoms side, the main shareholder is ARGO Capital Partners Ltd.
Market players cited the risk being taken by the shareholders of the two schemes as the liquidity pressure that existed on both sides did not allow the luxury of financial and legal control of the businesses (due diligence). As a consequence, it is possible that there will be many surprises, given the accumulated losses in all three businesses. It is recalled that only On Telecoms in its first use 2007 showed height losses 22 million. euro, while NetOne at its end 2007 had accumulated height damage 24 million. euro. End, for the same year Algonet had accumulated losses of approx 5 million. euro. The latter, however, had started to show profits, as it stood outside the unbundled access market (LLU), which, due to high investments, caused the "financial hemorrhaging" of players in fixed communications. On Telecoms announced yesterday that a few days ago the process of increasing its share capital was completed by 26,3 million. euro, by its existing shareholders, with the certification of the payment of the relevant funds. However, it is not specified how much of the specific increase in share capital was carried out through debt capitalization and through the payment of cash.

The extraordinary general meeting of OTE went smoothly

Yesterday, the extraordinary general meeting of OTE shareholders was held without a hitch. During the meeting, the shareholders approved the changes to the organization's statutes (in order to adapt to the shareholder agreement of last May) while the purchase of the same shares in a price range was reauthorized 3-30 euro, from 15-35 euros provided for by the previous decision. OTE announced that to date it has not purchased its own shares.
Additional, the shareholders of OTE approved the member of the Board of Directors. of the organization Mr. P. Tamburlo as chairman of the company's Audit Committee. The other members of the Committee were Mr. Leonidas Evaggelidis and Mrs. Xeni Skorini. End, the positions of the members of the board of directors were announced to the shareholders of OTE. which had been held at the previous extraordinary general meeting of its shareholders 6/2/2009. It was also announced that Mr. Guido Kerchoff, was appointed as a non-executive member, in place of Dr. Carl-Gerhard Icke, and for the remainder of his term, that is, until the date of the regular general meeting of shareholders for the year 2011.
EETT: He is asking for a reduction in SMS charges
Letter to mobile phone companies, urging them to proceed with corresponding reductions, in view of the issuance by the European Commission of the new Roaming Regulation, who, reduces by 50% the maximum retail price for sending text messages (SMS) international roaming (from 20 with 22 eurominutes in 11 euro minutes), the president of EETT sent yesterday, Nikitas Alexandridis. At the same time, and given the reduction in international roaming SMS charges, the president of EETT urges the mobile companies to similarly reduce the charges for sending SMS within the country, which today reach the 10 to 13 euro minutes.
Multirama: to leave the ASE
It seems more and more likely that the procedure for the withdrawal of Multirama from the Athens Stock Exchange will soon begin, as Panos Germanos continues to buy shares and the percentage he controls has now exceeded 73,1%. The process actually started last Wednesday when Mr. German transferred all his participation in the Vandervelle company, which belongs to 100% to the Greek businessman. Vandervelle subsequently acquired Viktoros Resti's interest (20,24%) but also other shares and given that the markets continue, it is expected that there will soon be a public proposal for its acquisition 100% of Multirama and its exit from the board.
Internet penetration is increasing in Greece
The strengthening of the trust of Greeks towards electronic markets and the increase of penetration among citizens over 35 years, as well as the residents of several regions are the problems identified with regard to the penetration of the Internet in our country.
These conclusions emerge from the results of the 4th annual measurement of the Observatory for the Information Society that were made public last week. The research was carried out in the two months of October - November and they participated 5966 households and 1424 businesses.
According to the results, the 39,4% of Greek households now has access to the Internet at the population penetration rate (quarterly use is a prerequisite) to be formed in 38,8%. The increase in relation to 2007 she is impressive, since the respective rates were 30,2% (households) and 28,4% (population) and brings Greece a little closer to the averages of the European Union where the 60% of households has access to the Internet.
The increase, Nevertheless, seems to be solely due to the younger generation (15-34 years) where penetration rates approach those of the EU. On the contrary, gap continues to exist in ages 35 years and older. also, low rates of use are also observed in specific regions of the country (Continent, Thessaly and Western Macedonia).
According to Observatory officials, the change in user behavior is noticeable, who use the Internet for "advanced" services, as it is to watch and listen to the radio (44%), for internet telephony (18%), for online games (25%), for publishing content on sites (17%), while 9% of users has their own website or blog.
Where there is a significant lag compared to the rest of Europe is in electronic markets. The percentage of people who bought or ordered goods or services increased by just 3 percentage units in 8% of the population, while in the EU the corresponding number is at 24%. Additional, the use of online banking services showed a decrease from 13% the 2007 in the 12% the 2008, something that, combined with the low penetration of online shopping, shows that there is a trust problem on the part of Greek users.
The fact that Greek businesses do not show particular interest in electronic commerce also contributes to the relatively low rates of online shopping. It is characteristic that as soon as 0,36% of income in small businesses (1-9 workers) and 11% in the big ones (+10 workers) comes from internet sales. In the EU the 16% of revenue to businesses comes from their online stores. At least that 99% of the big ones and the 62% of small businesses have a computer, while the rates for Internet access are 96,6% and 50,9% respectively.
Altec: restructuring begins
The separation of the activities in the area of software and those of integrated solutions (integration) in two subsidiaries and the participation of the creditor banks in the equity capital of Altec through the universal restructuring of the debt, are the two main points of the latter's restructuring plan, which was finally signed last Wednesday. Although the percentage that the creditor banks will acquire was not announced (Rural, General, Eurobank, National, Commercial, Attica, Cyprus and Piraeus) may exceed the 50%. also, the plan includes the sale of Altec's proprietary properties, as well as holdings in various companies in order to reduce liabilities and strengthen liquidity.

In France Telecom the control of Mobinil
Orascom Telecom ready for new acquisitions after compulsory sale to France Telecom of part of its stake in Egyptian mobile operator Mobinil with the French telco taking control of Mobinil. Orascom and France Telecom were the two shareholders of Mobinil Telecommunications, which controls it 51% of ECMS which uses the Mobinil trademark. Nevertheless, there were disputes and they went to court. Η Orascom Telecom ελέγχει πάντως ακόμη ένα 20% of ECMS with the rest being on the stock exchange and it is no coincidence that Naguib Sawiris argued that the French should make a public offer. Australia: ευρυζωνικότητα παντού
One of the most ambitious plans to provide broadband to an entire country has been announced by the Australian government. The fiber optic network expected to be ready within the next eight years will cost - based on existing estimates- about the 43 di. Australian dollars (about 31 di. dollars) and shall belong against 51% in the state, which will make the biggest part of the investment.
Australia intended to license the development of a nationwide fiber optic network to private individuals, however, the relevant tender process was ultimately declared fruitless and the government decided to make the investment itself. On the other, private individuals are also expected to be involved, as half of the funds will come from the sale of government bonds. Nevertheless, the share of the private persons shall in any case be at 49%.
HSPA record from Ericsson
Ericsson continues to increase HSPA speeds for even better user experience and sustainable mobile broadband growth. Faster data transfer speeds provide users with an instant connection. With a simple click on a web link, the corresponding page is displayed immediately, even when many users are online at the same time.
Ericsson broke its own HSPA world record, with the world's first demonstration of MIMO multi-carrier HSPA technology, offering top downlink data speeds 56 Mbps. The increase in speed is achieved thanks to the combination of multiple-input-multiple-output technology (MIMO) with the technology of many telecommunications operators. MIMO technology enables higher peak data transfer speeds and increased spectrum efficiency, which means more capacity for the network.
The demonstration was conducted on an experimental design version of an Ericsson mobile broadband router with HSPA capabilities. The consumer device will be able to be used wherever there is a need for broadband access, by sharing a mobile broadband connection to multiple consumers, resulting in efficient use of high-speed broadband.
Alongside, the Swedish company presented its most advanced mobile broadband module, exclusively designed with innovative features to provide everyone with a richer and more affordable internet experience. The next generation module is the latest milestone for Ericsson, reinforcing the company's vision of making communication possible for everyone.
Ericsson's F3607gw mobile-broadband module for HSPA/GPRS/EDGE networks, which is due to be released in June, will provide enhanced functions and facilities through its innovative capabilities, reduced energy consumption, extended battery life and increased level of integration, limiting the number of parts needed and, consequently, of the cost. The new module will also provide built-in mobile broadband support for Microsoft Windows 7.

"Sleepy" secrets

We can't get enough of him.

According to last year's poll by the American National Sleep Foundation, the 1/3 of respondents stated that they do not get enough sleep. In GREECE, research data shows that during the last century the average sleep time decreased by 20%.

Why do we sleep it? 1/3 of our life;

Various theories have been proposed from time to time. In recent years, some research focuses on the relationship between sleep and brain function. So, experiments by doctors from Harvard University proved it 2007 how sleep helps us organize the information we're bombarded with when we're awake.

Good sleep is not necessarily uninterrupted- or at least it wasn't always.

In the pre-industrial societies of Western Europe, people fell asleep as soon as the sun went down, they would wake up after a few hours and go back to sleep later. Besides, until recently the habit of midday siesta was considered an integral part of Mediterranean culture.

A little sleep, many diseases.

Scientists blame the lack of sleep on biological dysfunctions that are related to many diseases.

The lack of it makes us prone to mistakes.

That is why scientists do not consider it a coincidence that many major disasters happened at dawn.

The financial crisis affects sleep.

According to research in England, the 46% of participants said they had trouble sleeping because of the bleak economic forecast.

Vigil record.

Sleep deprivation is considered an effective technique for interrogating suspects- amounts to torture when extended for a long period of time.

Water: the most valuable liquid on the planet

Cheers:

  • Generally, the 8-10 glasses of water are considered the minimum necessary daily amount that healthy people should consume.
  • Those with increased body fat should drink daily 12 glass or more, certainly not bunched up but almost evenly distributed during the day.
  • Try to drink water before you get thirsty and at regular intervals.
  • Ice water as well as fast, sudden intake of it often causes painful contractions of the esophagus and stomach. That's why you prefer it cool.
  • The frequency of water intake should become even more frequent in the interval near digestion, in case of fever and when the ambient temperature rises.

Do what, what am i doing!

Children imitate adults. For starters, Well, learn them:

  • How to take off his clothes.
  • How to easily "climb" to the toilet using the special step.
  • How to overcome the difficulties encountered in the toilet with common paper, using wet wipes.
  • How to wipe properly ( from front to back)
  • Where should he throw his handkerchief?.
  • How to put his clothes back on.
  • How to pull the cistern.

Laser hair removal!

Important details:

  • Hair removal applies to women and men regardless of age.
  • At younger ages hair growth is more persistent and may require several sessions.
  • When halawa or shaving causes folliculitis or infections, laser hair removal is the only medically indicated solution.
  • During pregnancy, the use of lasers is not prohibited but avoided for preventive reasons.
  • Because usually during pregnancy, hair growth occurs in places where there was none before, additional sessions may be needed afterwards.
  • We do not recommend using laser hair removal on sun tanned skin and should avoid sun exposure for a few months afterwards.
  • Before hair removal, the possibility of hormonal disorders must be ruled out. If unwanted hair growth has hormonal causes, the problem is treated therapeutically before the laser is applied.

    To demystify swearing!

    1. Let's start with the external elements. If you've never been to a Greek university ceremony, you have in your mind the beautiful opulent images you see in American movies. This isn't college though. And you'll know it once you pile into the great hall with all your fellow students and their beans. You won't hear much from Bavoura, while the heat will be so unbearable that the sweat probably won't flatter you so much in the souvenir photos.
    2. In the end the only ones who are really moved are the parents and relatives. You have already been caught either by the disappointment that the years of carelessness have passed or by the stress of professional rehabilitation.
    3. Until you get your hands on the paper, you are forced to listen to the long and usually boring speeches of the professors.
    4. You take the paper and what to see. It's nothing more than an A4 sticker with your name on it, the degree and the remaining sauces. And then you wonder: Well, you've been struggling for this paper for so many years; Why get the degree on papyrus, so your mom can hang it in the living room, you will have to pay at the secretariat.
    5. Photographers. They sprout from everywhere. One with mom, one with dad, one with the little brother, let alone one with the divine. Flashes keep flashing and photo cards change hands. One would have to be very shopping to see her as a star that day. Photographers fight over who gets to take you out first. But the debauchery doesn't stop there. The most famous moment , where you cross your fingers to say your vow, it is completely set up and even by order of the authorities. Even this moment, it will be contrived and devoid of emotion.
    6. At the time of the oath, you will see the school nerd on the highest podium reciting the most sacred words in broken Greek many times out of anxiety and you will even be obliged to repeat it. You'll only really enjoy it if you're a nerd yourself, or if in your own department the oath is spoken by the school president.
    7. The only time it's really worth it is when they call you one- one and the time comes when you will hear your name. The phase is then to have a large company in the gallery and to deify you but on the field. If your name starts with Ψ, leave it because most people will have sworn and left.
    8. It follows an indescribable ceremony hall route- secretariat- signatures where on the street you will be stopped again by photographers promising that this time they discovered your good profile and by the time you finally manage to drink your morning coffee it will already be noon.
    9. After all that, financial disaster follows. Beyond the first coffee and the evening feast, you should treat for a month or so each known as a certification of your joy of success.
    10. And after all this feasting, summary you will find that things were much better before the inauguration. So what's all the fuss about;

"Simple Economics Lessons"

The difference in terms of energy savings could certainly be made with specific initiatives. The Ministry of Development has announced its intention to proceed with relevant arrangements, such as, for example, the subsidy for changing the frames. For now, Nevertheless, the program remains on paper. However, with a few simple moves we can spend less energy and subsequently money. Indicatively:

At home:

  • We turn off all devices at home and do not leave them on standby. Indicatively, in a study by the OASA, it has been calculated that the 13% of electricity in the home is consumed by appliances that are on standby.
  • We replace the light bulbs in the house with energy-saving ones. They are more expensive but prove to be more economical in the long run. They consume only ¼ of the electricity of conventional bulbs and have a lifetime 4 times greater.
  • We turn off the lights when we leave the room.
  • We make sure that the household electrical appliances we buy have high energy efficiency. We may pay more for them, but we will save money in the future. How much energy a device consumes also depends on where it is placed and how well it is used. Indicatively, the refrigerator should not be located near heat sources and should not remain open for a long time.
  • We lower the thermostat in winter and raise it in summer by one degree Celsius. We put up tents. They help in shading and therefore in saving energy for cooling. In any case, we use the air conditioning sparingly.
  • We take care of the good maintenance of the burner because that way it will have greater energy efficiency.
  • We try to recycle. In this way we save the energy needed to re-produce the materials.

In the car

  • When we are waiting in the car, turn off the engine.
  • We check our tires to ensure they are properly balanced. So we save up to 5% petrol.
  • We remove the car grill when we don't need it.

"Some tired lads"

Constant exhaustion is close to becoming an epidemic these days. And it's not just because of our hectic schedule. Small habits and diet play their role...

  • Lack of sleep is one of the main reasons why you feel tired. It may be due to the hectic work schedule that forces you to sleep late and wake up early. If you also have insomnia, don't expect better endurance. Scientific research has shown that mental and physical abilities are drastically reduced with less than 8 hours of sleep. Don't believe, Well, the rumors of great sleeping leaders 4 hours a day, but they are always fresh and ready for anything.
  • The stress, stress and worries are equally serious factors that negatively affect not only your relationship with Morpheus but also your energy reserves. Prolonged stress and generally uncomfortable feelings drain you.
  • Fast food deprives your body of valuable nutrients, vitamins, carbohydrates and can burden him with extra pounds. If your body is not getting all the ingredients it needs, then he doesn't perform and gets tired.
  • Tired eyes that see blurry or are strained by the computer, staying up late or watching TV make the whole body exhausted. The best solution is to take frequent breaks and wear your glasses if necessary.
  • A night out makes you feel like a corpse the next day. It deprives you of the restorative period of sleep at night and in combination with fat food, too much alcohol and probably smoking drains your batteries.

"Look at my teeth"

For a healthy smile:

  1. We avoid foods with a high concentration of sugar and follow a diet rich in nutrients.
  2. We consume sweets only at the main meals and not in between, because during their duration saliva neutralizes most acids and thus the harmful effects are limited.
  3. It is better to limit coffee and reduce or stop smoking, because they stain the teeth and destroy their natural whiteness.

"How can I examine myself";

You didn't do the checkup you should have done this year either. However, there are some practical ways to check yourself and prevent any problems. Now you have no excuse.

WEIGHT!

If you notice any significant change in your weight, without changing your eating habits, you should look into what's going on. Sometimes weight fluctuations indicate a thyroid problem. Those with hyperthyroidism may lose weight without an increased appetite. To check your thyroid, stretch your arm out in front at shoulder height. The palm should be facing down. Place a piece of sticky paper on the back of the palm and observe if the edges of the paper vibrate strongly, because this probably indicates an overactive thyroid.

PULSE!

The best time to measure your pulse, it's early in the morning, as soon as you get out of bed. The average is approx 72 beats per minute. If you have from 75 as 80 pulses per minute, you need more exercise. If you have more than 80, start rolling on the spot immediately…

BODY!

Look at yourself in profile in front of a mirror. Are you hunched over?; Bad posture, except for the sense of defeatism it gives, it can also cause several problems. Headaches may be due to this posture, pains in your neck and lower back, some breathing difficulties as well as problems with your spine.

MOUTH!

Red or white marks, sores and swelling that last more than ten days are alarm bells. These may be serious infections. Go to the doctor.

SKIN!

Carefully observe the skin over the entire body. Look for wound that in space 3 weeks does not heal, he is bleeding, changes color or takes on an irregular shape. It can be an indication of high sugar levels.

Examine your birthmarks and moles and be sure to remember their color and shape.

A new black spot on your body that grows over a period of months should definitely be examined.

HANDS!

Cold hands are usually a feature of people who are anxious and have an oversecretion of adrenaline. What you can do is cut down on nicotine and caffeine, reduce your stress and wear warm clothes. If you still have the snowman touch, do an examination of your circulation.

If your hands and feet are numb, you are constantly thirsty while also feeling an exhausting fatigue, then you need to check your blood sugar levels.

JOINTS!

If you feel pain in the joints of the feet and hands, if they are swollen and in the morning they are stiff, then you probably have rheumatoid arthritis.

"Sleepy" secrets

We can't get enough of him.

According to last year's poll by the American National Sleep Foundation, the 1/3 of respondents stated that they do not get enough sleep. In GREECE, research data shows that during the last century the average sleep time decreased by 20%.

Why do we sleep it? 1/3 of our life;

    10. And after all this feasting, summary you will find that things were much better before the inauguration. So what's all the fuss about;
