“The exact level of his increaseminimum wage it will be announced by the prime minister next week," says the Minister of Labor, Efi Ahtsioglou, in an interview with the newspaper "Documento", adding that the increase “from which they will directly benefit approx 880.000 our fellow citizens" will be effective from February 1, while parallel to the increase, the minimum wage for young people will be abolished by 25 years, so that "the new increased minimum wage will apply to all without age discrimination".
He points out that raising the minimum wage “will stimulate domestic demand, something that is particularly important for an economy like the Greek one and will therefore contribute to the growth dynamics of the economy".
