He was finally arrested Demis Nikolaidis, on Thursday morning, since a few days ago a warrant had been issued against all its presidents PAE AEK due to the group's financial debts to the State.

The former president of AEK voluntarily came to the General Police Directorate of Attica, in order to execute the warrant. Within the next few hours, he is expected to be taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens, where he will present data concerning the period of his administration.

The official announcement of the Police said:

“He was arrested this morning, by police officers of the Property Rights Protection Department of the Attica Security Directorate, Demis Nikolaidis, for non-payment of debts to the State amounting to 35.600.410,50 euros. The arrested person will be taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens".
