THE
Kostas Filippoglou - puts on Sophocles' Philoctetes (409 e.g.), with
starring Michael Marmarinos, Konstantinos Markoulakis and
Emilio Cheilakis.

The show goes on 18 and 19 July at the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus
and is a co-production of DIPETHE Patras and the company
Aptivities.

Abandoned by his companions in Lemnos, Philoctetes
he confronts them ten years later, when they act fraudulently
to wrest from him the invincible bow of Hercules in order to conquer her
Troy.

Sophocles' tragedy refers to human suffering and
abandonment, the relationship between individual consciousness and politics, the personal
honor and duty.
