Young body with coupe elements
Our information points to an unveiling of the new 3-door A-Class at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March, however our spies from today, they reveal to us which is the most attractive small and medium Mercedes model. The 3-door A-Class will naturally base its presence on the 5-door versions of the model, differentiating in the piece from the front pillars and back.
So from there on, the side doors will be enlarged to accommodate rear seat entry, the roof will drop to the rear pillar less vertically and the second side windows will acquire a sharper finish. The end result, it is expected to give us a 3-door model that will look towards the coupe models and will come to emphasize the already impressive lines of the new A-Class.
Familiar engines and top AMG version
The range of available mechanical packages of the 3-door Mercedes A-Class will borrow from that of the 5-door version and thus, we will see the same petrol and diesel engines, with the first starting from 1,6 liters and the second of the 1,5 l. The big news, however, in the case of the younger A-Class, it is the fact that the top version of the German small-medium will be built on it, the famous A45 AMG.
According to information, this version will receive Mercedes' 2-liter turbo gasoline engine, which after AMG treatments, will yield approx 350 "horses". This power will be managed by the famous 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT gearbox, so that he can send it to 4 car wheels.
