Starting the rollout of its new models that will be based on the all-new front-end platform of the latest generations of the A-Class and B-Class, Mercedes launches the new CLA in the European markets. It is a new car that emphasizes the sporty nature of the brand and for this reason, the body chosen is that of a 4-door coupe model, against e.g. of a more "conservative" 4-door sedan. The end result brings us one of the most impressive looking new models in recent years, which derives its presence from the equally beautiful Mercedes A-Class, yet it manages to impress and provoke even more.

Challenging…
Adopting almost in percentage 100% the bodywork of last year's original Mercedes Concept Style Coupe, the new CLA challenges with its proportions, referring to anything but a 4-door sedan. Thus the fluid lines of the body, the roof that falls directly onto the raised hood, but also the particularly dynamic bumpers, they give the new German creation a very special presence and fully justify the designation "4-door coupe".

The rear lights come in the same pattern, which are derived from the flagship Mercedes CLS, as well as the frameless side windows. Even the dimensions of the car, with the increased width, the low roof and the particularly long body (4,63 m., longer vs 4 mm. even from the Mercedes C-Class!), help to emphasize the dynamism of the new Mercedes CLA.

Interior: Sporty image with an emphasis on quality
Taken largely from the Mercedes A-Class is the interior of the new CLA, in a result that combines the modern with the subtly sporty. Nouns, the differences in the dashboard of the two "relative" models are exhausted in the extra horizontal fillet of different color and lining that the CLA has, but also in the sportier instrument panel with the two domes for the speedometer and the tachometer. From now on, in the whole picture stand out the 5 round vents (one at the edges of the board and three in the center) reminiscent of airplane turbines, as of course the thin digital screen on the upper part of the console.

Following the high quality standards of Mercedes, the interior of the new CLA is "dressed" with excellent quality and top-quality materials. Depending on the version, the buyer can choose the lining of the interior in various thematic combinations of materials and colors, as well as expensive leathers that intensify the interior luxury. In terms of practicality, the cases for small items are sufficient depending on the choices of the buyer (B.C. the model with automatic transmission has the lever behind the steering wheel, so the console offers an extra storage space). Finally, the driving position is low and consistent with the general driver-centric philosophy of the new Mercedes CLA.
