Colin Edwards returns and will compete in Catalonia

Thanasis Houdras writes for newsbeast.gr

It's strange, e; Let someone declare that they are ready only against 90% and yet be considered fit to compete in MotoGP. This alone reveals the superhuman fitness of top motorcycle riders.

We are referring to Colin Edwards, the American returning to racing after surgery on his left collarbone, which he broke on 5 May for the fourth time in the timed tests of the Portuguese GP.

The recovery of the fracture went approx’ please, and last week the stitches were removed, whereupon he fully recovered the movement of his left arm.

"I'm excited to be back, although I'm still not on 100%. I actually briefly thought about practicing at the driving school here at the track last weekend, but in the end I decided to leave the hand alone for a few more days."

"I had the stitches out last week and I've been swimming a lot for the last few days. I feel my hand very well and it doesn't hurt. I'd say I'm currently at 90% of my physical condition. I'm looking forward to the weekend".

The NGM Mobile Forward Racing team is eagerly awaiting the Texan to continue the development of the CRT prototype. Interim replacement Chris Vermuelen tested a new electronics package at the wet French GP and now it's Colin's job to get on with improving it, to get back the good feel of the bike he had in Qatar.
