Piaggio has announced versions with an ABS system for the new Vespa Primavera and Sprint, which significantly increases the levels of active safety. The new models are also available in our country.

Creating playgrounds for use by children with mobility problems and ensuring their access to all municipal structures and schools, both the new Vespa Primavera and the Vespa Sprint are now also available with an anti-lock braking system (ABS). The modern ABS unit intervenes on the front wheel of the new small Vespa significantly improving the active safety offered especially on poor quality pavement or on a wet road.

The front wheel of the Vespa Primavera and Sprint ABS has a reading disc and a sensor that continuously measures its own speed and deceleration relative to that of the scooter. The sensor communicates with an electro-hydraulic control unit that activates the ABS system when the wheel slows down sharply, preventing the blocking and by extension the loss of control of the two-wheeler.
