Vitantonio Liuzzi, although he has a cooperation contract with Hispania Racing Team, it is not certain whether he will continue his racing career with the team, as he himself states.

This is because when the Italian decided to work with the team, HRT was headed by Jose Carabante and director Colin Kolles.

The team is now owned by Thesan Capital and Luis Perez-Sala replaced Kolles. In addition the team's empty cockpit is in demand as there are several drivers looking for an empty seat for it 2012, while HRT has already announced Pedro de la Rosa in one position for next season.

Liuzzi himself told Total Race: "I have a contract to be in next season's races with HRT, but the deal fell through with the previous owner, so my future in the team is uncertain".
