Citroen DS4 Crossover: A capable rival for Nissan & Mini.

The production of the new Citroen DS4 Crossover enters its final phase, which will be presented as a prototype at the Geneva International Motor Show next month.

It will appear in the exhibition with two doors, while the company intends to produce it as a four-door at the beginning 2011, when it will take the production route. Ambition is to be a capable opponent of the respective models Nissan Juke and Mini Countryman, which will soon be released on European roads.

Like DS3, DS4s will feature an upgraded interior and a wide range of options will allow owners to customize their car to their liking. In everything,what about the engines, information suggests that it is likely to be borrowed from the C4 range.

For Nissan Qashqai, the biggest commercial success of the Japanese brand in recent years, received the first refresh.

Since its European launch in March 2007, it has exceeded projected sales targets and touched 500.000 units in the European market. Create a new customer base in the company after the 80% of first-time buyers had chosen a Nissan product.

In reducing the aerodynamic drag on 0.33 from 0.34 they contributed,the modified tailgate spoiler as well as changes to the floor design.

Inside, the new instrument panel stands out,which offers greater definition and is easier to read.

The two instruments,speedometer and tachometer have white indicators on a black background,with red needles. They are surrounded by chrome rings. Between the two instruments is a redesigned trip computer. Storage spaces for small items have been increased.

A new soundproofing study was implemented.

The Qashqai+2 version is aimed at those looking for a medium Crossover with larger interior spaces. It has a third row of seats,which folds away when not in use.

All versions are two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The ALL MODE four-wheel drive system is one of the most complete in its category. Gasoline engines 1.600 κ.εκ. entry 115 horses and 2.000 κ.εκ. 140 horses. Diesel engines 1.500 κ.εκ. 106 and 2.0 dCi 150 horses.
