Citroen DS3 Electrum Concept

The electric supermini in Paris

Citroen, at home it is expected to present the electric version of our well-known model. DS3 Electrum can be called a concept, however, the intention of the French company was to leave unchanged the aesthetic and layout of the existing model and to focus on the car's propulsion system.

The electric DS3 has two electric motors on the front axle, one on each wheel, with a power of 65kW each. Electricity is stored in a lithium-ion battery which is mounted on the floor of the car and has a capacity of 17.5kWh. Citroen promises for DS3 Electrum Concept autonomy 120 kilometers, but fast charging at high voltage stations can reset it 80% of energy in just half an hour, which allows greater flexibility in daily use.

At the moment no decision has been made whether or not this proposal will go into production, however, in the near future, Citroen will be asked to decide whether to include a zero-emission supermini in its range.
