The debut takes place on 27 September in Paris, while its sales will start at the beginning of 2013. The range of engines will consist of the familiar Dual VVT-i petrols 1.33 and 1.6 and diesel 1.4 D-4D, while alongside the conventional versions, the hybrid version with their motor is also being launched 1,8 liter (see more here). Starting from 1.33, available with Stop & Start and its performance has decreased slightly to 99 horsepower (from 101) and the 128 Nm of torque (from 132), but the benefit in CO2 emissions and consumption is significant, with the former being limited to 125 g/km (from 139) and the second to fall on 5,4 lt/100 km (from 6,0). In his case 1.6 Valvematic, although performance remained the same (132 PS and 160 Nm) both average consumption and CO2 emissions fell to 5,9 lt/100 km (from 6,5) and the 138 g/km (from 152) respectively. THE 1.6 it will be available with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT Multidrive S automatic. The dimensions of the new model are: length 4.275 mm, width 1.760 mm, height 1.460 mm and wheelbase 2.600 mm, while the luggage space grew by 6 liters reaching the 360. The choice of two layouts for the rear suspension makes an impression: semi-rigid shaft at 1.33 and 1.4 D-4D and double scissors for 1.6 and the hybrid. We remind you how, along with the new Auris, in Paris we will also see the new Auris Tourer and Verso.

Citroen DS3 Electrum Concept

The electric supermini in Paris

Citroen, at home it is expected to present the electric version of our well-known model. DS3 Electrum can be called a concept, however, the intention of the French company was to leave unchanged the aesthetic and layout of the existing model and to focus on the car's propulsion system.

The electric DS3 has two electric motors on the front axle, one on each wheel, with a power of 65kW each. Electricity is stored in a lithium-ion battery which is mounted on the floor of the car and has a capacity of 17.5kWh. Citroen promises for DS3 Electrum Concept autonomy 120 kilometers, but fast charging at high voltage stations can reset it 80% of energy in just half an hour, which allows greater flexibility in daily use.

At the moment no decision has been made whether or not this proposal will go into production, however, in the near future, Citroen will be asked to decide whether to include a zero-emission supermini in its range.
