To 2013 production of the mini model that Opel is feverishly developing will begin. Its name will be Allegra or Junior and it will have a restrained premium style, but also a modern look.
The competition in the mini vehicle segment has really caught fire and – unfortunately for it – Opel is far behind. You see, the Agila was not the expected success, as it is not a purely mini model, but more of a versatile model of compact dimensions. Things are expected to get even wilder next March with the arrival of the VW up!, but also of the third generation of the absolute mini best seller of our country, of the Fiat Panda. Reasonably, Opel is asked to answer if it wants to have a leading role in the class and according to information, that's what he intends to do.
Body
The new model will likely be called "Allegra" or "Junior" and will be based on a smaller version of the Opel Corsa platform.. Its body will be exclusively 3-door and will incorporate a multi-edge design, corners and sharp ribs. As can be seen in our spy photo, the final result will give the German mini model a distinctive and attractive image.
Interior
inside, the company will make use of components and accessories we already know from the Corsa and Astra. Emphasis will be placed on entertainment and information systems, so that the overall feel is sufficiently premium.
Engines
In everything, what about its mechanical parts, the new Opel mini will have small capacity gasoline engines for fuel economy, but without currently having any further information. Big chances, in any case, there are also some electric versions to be seen in the model range, as at the Frankfurt exhibition the German company presented a compact 2-seater electric vehicle, a fact that shows that the company is working on such a project.
Production

The aim of the Germans is to manufacture 80 – 90 mm. mini models per year. For this reason they will choose the Eisenach factory, in which General Motors Europe recently invested 90 from. euro. The company has committed that the production of the new model will start within 2013. Very important
