Lakis Gavalas was arrested at noon on Wednesday for the fourth time in five months. The well-known businessman and his sister, Note, who was also arrested, were taken to the Prosecutor of the Athens Court of First Instance, accused of inaccurate tax returns (VAT) to the State. Their total debts are said to exceed 2,2 millions of euros.

Lakis Gavalas was initially arrested in the early hours of December 3rd 2011,  however he was released after a few hours. At 26 January 2012 arrested a second time and, the next, a few minutes after his departure from the Autophorous Three-Member Criminal Court, where his request for adjournment of his trial was granted and he was released, was arrested again! After all, was taken to prison, where he remained for 15 about days, before being released on 16 February.
