Enigma 1050: The motorcycle you build yourself!

It has not yet received press approval, but the demon Jim Lindsay who inspired her, has already proceeded with its implementation. If nothing else Enigma 1050 is particularly impressive.

Jim Lindsay is a Macintosh computer technician by profession, but his love of motorcycling led him to realize his idea which revolves around building a new British motorcycle, which will be sold complete, while there will also be the possibility of assembling it by its owner (what we call kit). The Triumph 3 cylinder engine to be used is ideal according to Jim, even though it has been on the market for many years, since it first appeared 1997. Criteria for its selection (except for the fact that he is British!) is the good torque output over a wide rpm range, but also the performance of 121 horses.

The goal is to have the new bike ready by April 2012, with the first tests then taking place at the Cadwell Park circuit. End, Jim reports that there are already two buyers, while more details about its development can be found athttp://enigma1050.co.uk

What the Buick crossover shows us;

The new Buick crossover will debut at the Detroit show, which shows us the future of another GM member we care about, of this Opel.
At the upcoming Detroit show, the three largest companies in America will be at their headquarters. Reasonably, Well, several premieres of new models are expected from them.
In everything, what about General Motors, will launch the new Cadillac ATS at the said show, two Chevrolet prototypes, but also the production version of the Chevrolet Sonic RS. Additional, the American giant will present Buick's new compact crossover, which, based on the original Envision, a model first seen at the previous Shanghai show. It will be built on GM's Theta platform, which is the one used by both the Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain.
If Buick's new crossover doesn't tell you something, think a little more "slyly" and the news will acquire another interest. The reason is simple, as the new GM feeling, it basically gives us a first taste of the crossover that will follow with the Opel badges.

The 5-door VW up is also coming!

In Frankfurt in September, VW showed us the whole up family!...or rather almost all of it, since the 5-door version of the mini model is still something hidden… We reveal it here.
As we have re-emphasized recently, in up! Volkswagen clearly supports a lot, since this car will help her to reactivate in the so important mini class, replacing the moderately commercially successful Fox. After the 3-door version of the model we recently had the opportunity to drive in Rome, but the original e-ups!, eco up!, cross up! and GT up! which we saw in Frankfurt in September, now our interest is on the upcoming 5-door version of the new VW. The cross up! it also had a 5-door body and gave us a first glimpse of the new model.
up! + practicality = 5 door up!
As part of the pan-European driving presentation of the 3-door up! we saw first hand that Volkswagen invested in a very interesting model, with quality, very good road behavior and economical motor. What is essentially missing from the 3-door version is of course the practicality offered by the two rear passenger doors. The 5-door version comes to fill exactly this gap, thus completing the character of a model that seems to have all the qualifications to overturn today's minis.
Seats full of "toys"
VW has not yet announced official data for the 5-door up!, the first reports speak of important practical solutions inside it, in order to differentiate it enough from the 3-door. It is therefore estimated that the 2nd row of seats will be particularly flexible, allowing different configurations of the cabin. In regards to the trunk, we remind you that the 3-door model has a luggage compartment 251 liter. If the information that wants the 5-door version to have a slightly longer wheelbase is verified, then this number will be the same or even slightly larger, thus giving up! another important advantage over its competitors.
Engines: Small and economical
Under the hood of the VW up! are located, two new ones, 3cylinder power units of one liter, 12 valves, with horsepower 60 and 75 horses, which meet the Euro emission standards 5, while both do not exceed the limit of 100 gr / km. in terms of CO2 emissions. So the average consumption does not exceed 4,2 and 4,3 lt./100 km. respectively with the help of BlueMotion Technologies. This for the case of up! means Start system&Stop, recovery of energy during braking but also tires with low rolling resistance. He will bring these motors, initially at least the new 5-door version of the German model.
End, another element of interest is the fact that the 3-door version was rated with 5 stars in passive safety from EuroNCAP. This is largely due to the fact that the car is equipped with the innovative City Emergency Braking system that operates at speeds up to 30 km/h and can even brake the vehicle completely, if the driver does not apply the brakes in time and a collision is judged to be imminent. The medal of 5 of course it can accompany the 5-door up!.
The presentation and launch of the new 5-door VW up! expected to take place around the middle of it 2012.

Moto Morini lives again!

The historic brand is being revived in addition to the well-known models: 9 ½, Corsair 1200, Granpasso, and Scrambler, is also preparing another new model for the 2012.

The bankrupt historic Italian brand Moto Morini is preparing to get back into the game. The financial problems of the recent past for the historic company had come to an end on the morning of July 19, when Moto Morini was bought for 1 million and 960 thousands of euros from two entrepreneurs of the Eagle Bike company established for the case.
From what it seems, the two Italians didn't buy Morini just for... collecting reasons, and as they profess to be passionate about motorcycling, Moto Morini is preparing to open its wings again. The designs of Sandro Capotosti and Ruggeromassimo Jannuzzelli speak of a resumption of factory production, from its beginning 2012. At first the company will focus on selling the existing models 9 ½, Corsair 1200, Granpasso, and Scrambler, while from its spring 2012, we will see a brand new model!
