The Polo is top in these areas and we honestly wonder when – for good- the new one is presented, how much more well-made it can be. But it is strict, very strict and the only imaginative element here is the…red body color.
Inside, the checkered seats can't make it look any newer than it is. And here the plastics are of high quality, we also have a couple of extra quality touches such as the chrome on the air ducts, or the leather and lacquer on the steering wheel. The overall picture is certainly severe, bordering on indifferent.
But the spaces are anything but indifferent. Especially the passengers have very good comfort in almost all dimensions, consequence of the classic almost cubed cabin approach, while the luggage space is good as well as those for small items, glasses or bottles.

VW Golf GTI «Concept White»

They are recalled 534.000 Volkswagen-Mini cars

Volkswagen and Mini have announced worldwide recalls of more than 534.000 cars.

Volkswagen is recalling 299.000 two liter TDI Golf vehicles, Jetta, Passat, Scirocco, Tiguan and T5 manufactured by 2009 up to and including 2012. The recall is due to possible cracks in the fuel injection system.

The company says the problem is noticeable with a fuel smell, while the problem may also appear in Audi cars, Seat and Skoda.

BMW, for its part, is withdrawing 235.000 Mini cars in which there is a possible problem with the electric water pump that cools the engine's turbo.

The recall concerns the 1,600hp turbo engine in the Cooper S and John Cooper Works that have been built since March 2006 until January 2011 and in the worst case the engine may catch fire. No accidents have been reported so far, related to the specific topic.

The 5-door VW up is also coming!

In Frankfurt in September, VW showed us the whole up family!...or rather almost all of it, since the 5-door version of the mini model is still something hidden… We reveal it here.
As we have re-emphasized recently, in up! Volkswagen clearly supports a lot, since this car will help her to reactivate in the so important mini class, replacing the moderately commercially successful Fox. After the 3-door version of the model we recently had the opportunity to drive in Rome, but the original e-ups!, eco up!, cross up! and GT up! which we saw in Frankfurt in September, now our interest is on the upcoming 5-door version of the new VW. The cross up! it also had a 5-door body and gave us a first glimpse of the new model.
up! + practicality = 5 door up!
As part of the pan-European driving presentation of the 3-door up! we saw first hand that Volkswagen invested in a very interesting model, with quality, very good road behavior and economical motor. What is essentially missing from the 3-door version is of course the practicality offered by the two rear passenger doors. The 5-door version comes to fill exactly this gap, thus completing the character of a model that seems to have all the qualifications to overturn today's minis.
Seats full of "toys"
VW has not yet announced official data for the 5-door up!, the first reports speak of important practical solutions inside it, in order to differentiate it enough from the 3-door. Engines: Small and economical
