Cleaner air for Europe

According to the European Environment Agency approx 430.000 people die every year around the world due to the atmosphere polluted by industry and exhaust gas. Millions of people suffer from asthma and bronchitis, a fact that burdens health funds with billions of euros.
Specialists in environmental issues from 27 EU countries sought solutions last Friday in Brussels, in order to protect the health of citizens, and considered proposals that could lead to tackling air pollution. So they agreed on a draft 77 of pages that determines the permissible limit of pollutants with which they will burden the atmosphere 55.000 industries of Europe. These are primarily mercury emissions, suspended particles, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide. The draft also sets out which exemptions and which deadlines still apply in the EU.

Oslo, London and Amsterdam are leading a big-city initiative to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions from transport with the help of new technology that will curb climate change and reduce air pollution, results from a study, which was made public.

European cities occupy eight of the top ten positions — along with Tokyo and Seoul — in the ranking with the 35 cities compiled by the Center for Economic and Business Research (CEBR) with the support of the smartphone chip maker, by Qualcomm.

“Oslo is set to become the world's first zero-emissions transport city”, according to the CEBR report which estimates both existing policies and plans to promote them “green transport”: from electric cars to bicycles.

The subway of the Norwegian capital, trams and buses already run on hydroelectricity, while Norway has the highest proportion of electric cars in the world.

Oslo City Council plans to significantly restrict access to conventional cars in the city center.

According to the report, London in second place, “it may not appear as an example of a green city to all its residents” but most travel by public transport rather than by car.

Microsoft: New Surface laptop leaked

Only a few hours before the official Microsoft event in New York, a series of images leaked on Twitter reveals the Surface Laptop, the company's new laptop.
The revelation was made by the user WalkingCat and it seems that the Surface Laptop will be Microsoft's "answer" to Google's Chromebook Pixel. According to what was revealed, the new Surface will have a diagonal PixelSense display 13,5 inches and will be available in four alternative colors: platinum, burgundy, cobalt blue and graphite gold.

The creator with clay
The body of each new mass-produced model is first made with clay, in natural size, to ascertain its proportions and details and make the necessary changes. It may seem simple but it is not at all. The tailor
Hand-built cars or customized versions of some of the mass-produced models require skilled workers who know their job very well and have talent in their field. One of them is the tailor who will undertake to check the quality of the fabric or leather with which he will dress the interior of a vehicle according to the customer's wishes. The hand or machine stitching they handle must be flawless and it is estimated that they need approx 30 meters of suitable thread to complete each vehicle. Their work takes time, to get it right.
