Ἡ Ἁγία Μάρτυς Εὐδοκία καταγόταν ἀπὸ τὴν Ἠλιούπολη, τῆς ἐπαρχίας Λιβανησίας Φοινίκης καὶ ἔζησε κατὰ τοὺς χρόνους τοῦ αὐτοκράτορος Τραϊανοῦ (98 – 117 A.D.). Στὸν πρότερό της βίο ζοῦσε ζωὴ ἀκόλαστη μέσα στὰ πάθη καὶ τὴν ἁμαρτία. Ὅμως ἡ Χάρη τοῦ Θεοῦ φώτισε τὴν καρδιά της καὶ μὲ τὶς νουθεσίες κάποιου γέροντος μοναχοῦ, ποὺ ὀνομαζόταν Γερμανός, μετανόησε. Ἡ Ἁγία Μάρτυς Ἀντωνίνα καταγόταν ἀπὸ τὴν πόλη Νίκαια τῆς Βιθυνίας καὶ ἔζησε κατὰ τοὺς χρόνους τοῦ αὐτοκράτορα Μαξιμιανοῦ (286 – 305 A.D.). Ὄντας Χριστιανή, φανερώθηκε στὸν Μαξιμιανό, ὅταν ἀναχώρησε γιὰ τὴν Νίκαια καὶ ὁμολόγησε μὲ τόλμη γνώμης τὸν Χριστό. Γι’ αὐτὸ βασανίσθηκε καὶ ὁδηγήθηκε στὴ φυλακή. Ὁ Ἅγιος Δαβὶδ καταγόταν ἀπὸ τὴν Οὐαλία καὶ ἀνατράφηκε μὲ παιδεία καὶ νουθεσία Κυρίου. Ἀπὸ νεαρὰ ἡλικία ἀκολούθησε τὸ μοναχικὸ βίο καὶ ἐκάρη μοναχός. Ἀποσύρθηκε στὴ νῆσο τοῦ Οὐάϊτ, καθοδηγούμενος ἀπὸ τὸν Γέροντα Παυλίνο. Κήρυξε πρὸς τοὺς Βρετανοὺς καὶ ἀνοικοδόμησε ναὸ στὴν πόλη Γκλαστένμπουρυ, ὅπου κατὰ τὴν παράδοση κήρυξε ὁ Ἰωσὴφ ὁ ἀπὸ Ἀριμαθαίας ποὺ εἶχε, κατὰ τὴν παράδοση, μαζί του τὸ Ποτήριον τοῦ Μυστικοῦ Δείπνου καὶ τὸν Ἀκάνθινο Στέφανο τοῦ Κυρίου. Ὁ Ὅσιος Μαρτύριος τοῦ Ζελένσκ, κατὰ κόσμον Μηνᾶς, γεννήθηκε στὴν πόλη Βελίκι Λούκι τῆς Ρωσίας κατὰ τὸν 16ο αἰῶνα μ.Χ. ἀπὸ γονεῖς εὐσεβεῖς καὶ φιλόθεους, τὸν Κοσμᾶ καὶ τὴν Σταφανίδα, οἱ ὁποῖοι πέθαναν δέκα χρόνια μετὰ τὴν γέννησή του. Τὴν κατὰ Θεὸν διαπαιδαγώγησή του καὶ φροντίδα τοῦ μικροῦ Μηνᾶ ἀνέλαβε ἕνας πνευματικὸς καὶ ἀγαθὸς λευΐτης τοῦ ναοῦ τοῦ Εὐαγγελισμοῦ τῆς γενέτειράς του, ποὺ λίγο ἀργότερα ἔγινε μοναχὸς στὴ μονὴ τῆς Ἁγίας Τριάδος καὶ ὀνομάστηκε Βογολέπιος.
