New impetus in the case of the return of the marbles to Greece, this award was characterized by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Mr. George Nikitiadis. The Acropolis Museum won the "World's Best Museum" award from the competition held by the Association of Travel Journalists of Great Britain. It received the award last night, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Mr. George Nikitiadis, representing the government, at a special event held in the British capital. Mr. Nikitiadis, thanked the organizers and those who participated in the voting, stressing that with their move they opened the door to return the marbles of the Acropolis to their place., he praised the importance of these developments for Greek Culture and expressed his optimism that with this award the last wall fell, giving new impetus to the case of the return of the marbles to Greece. Today more than ever there is a need to trust our LANGUAGE and rely on its timeless value. It is OUR NATIONAL HERITAGE and I find it completely unthinkable and unfair, to exist…y people of any age who are thirsty to make it an estate and a bequest, but they can't, or because they are abroad, either because the obligations became so many and the movements difficult and time-consuming. Please support this effort of national importance, those of you who understand the difficulty but also the need of this undertaking and to spread it to every person, σε κάθε Έλληνα και Φιλέλληνα.
