Goethe Institute: His Exarchies 2011 in his Berlin 2012

The strict economic austerity measures in Greece, just as the lens of two directors recorded them

 The film "Austerity Measures" (s.s. "Austerity measures") co-written by directors Ben Russell and Guillaume Caillot, selected by the Berlin Film Festival to screen during its 62nd edition (9- 19 February).
 
 The experimental aesthetic film which is a production of the Goethe Institute of Athens itself and the LabA film collective (LaborAthen) will be screened at the Berlinale on Saturday 11 and on Sunday 12 February in the Forum Expanded Section.
It is a "x-ray" of social life in Greece after the repeated austerity measures imposed by the Troika and is focused on the area of ​​Exarchia (the film's working title was 'Exarcheia, Red-Blue-Green»).
Shot in 16mm, the film was created in 5 days in September 2011 during the workshop "Hand over cinema Athens 2011".
Last year, for the first time, the "Hand over cinema Athens" workshop invited Greek and foreign film lovers, professional filmmakers, visual artists, students as well as amateurs to gather in Athens and make hand-made films with the aim of depicting various aspects of the city.
Its world premiere took place at the Institute's auditorium on 13 of last September.
"Austerity Measures" is the fruit of Greek-German cooperation in the field of culture supported by the German Institute of Athens. It is very happy that the creation of a network in the field of cinema has found a response not only in Greece and Germany, but also at an international level.
The film program of the Goethe-Institut Athen will continue its efforts to create a Greek-German film network and thanks all the creators who cooperate and support it.

Wednesdays with Cinema at the Michalis Kakogiannis Foundation: Anti – Tribute to Saint Valentine

The BMIin its context general offerof to her moviegoers of Athenswith the cooperation and support of the independent distribution company of selected films New Star and Velissarios Kossyvakis, has established an informal Film Club, every Wednesday at 21:30, with free entry, in his Cinema.
On Wednesdays with IMC Cinema, they have a place and films by established and new creators are screened, films that speak a unique cinematic language with the mark of each creator evident, films that have contributed to the special image and development of that cinema that captures the different,  opens up horizons, entertains and at the same time focuses on people and situations, relationships and events of wider interest.
February 2012 Anti – Tribute to Saint Valentine
Away from pink balloons, cards with hearts and bouquets the cities continue indifferently on their course. Cities divided in two, cities wild dark and haunted like the lives of their people, who seek and experience the obsessions of love, the contact, the brief flame of human life, and in the hope of happiness they form their own moral codes. Next to the pink happy ones, sweet pictures, they also project wild images in earthy colors, in sepia and black and white that reveal the secrets, the passions,  the pursuits of people in the eternal pursuit of happiness…
In February, in the month that usually celebrates a saint of lovers, the IMC has chosen and presents films about love that are unconventional, separate, away from hagiographies, even if some of them are dominated by angels, in a instead- tribute to Saint Valentine. Because life has many aspects as well as desires.
In addition and… suddenly, music is playing!
Young people, but also already established,  notable musicians and music students occupy the foyer of the Michalis Kakogiannis Foundation and introduce themselves to the public through small concerts with various types of music. Through this cycle of events they find a platform for expression and present musical prologues for the film screenings of “Wednesdays with Cinema at IMC”,  about half an hour before the start of each screening with free entry for all.
In this context, on Wednesday 22nd and Wednesday 29 February 2012, the audience will have the opportunity to come into contact with musical works of the U. Kotzia, X. Samaras and N. Jiajiu, as well as recent compositions inspired by the film ta “Wings of love” of N. Mavraki, A. Mouzaki and G. Badass.
The works are interpreted by A. Tzigiannis (piano), A. Chaniotis (violin), N. Nikolopoulos (flute), P. Sioras (clarinet), M. Stellius (mandolin).

Παρουσίαση του έργου του Διεθνούς Πανεπιστημίου Ελλάδος και νέων μεταπτυχιακών

Με θέμα την παρουσίαση του έργου του Διεθνούς Πανεπιστημίου Ελλάδος και την παρουσίαση των νέων μεταπτυχιακών προγραμμάτων, πραγματοποιήθηκε σήμερα το μεσημέρι συνέντευξη τύπου, στη Στέγη Γραμμάτων και Τεχνών του Ιδρύματος Ωνάση.
Στην συνέντευξη που παραχώρησε ο πρόεδρος της Διοικούσας Επιτροπής καθηγητής Κώστας Γραμμένος παραβρέθηκε και ο Δημαρχος Θεσσαλονίκης κ. Γιάννης Μπουτάρης, ο οποίος απηύθυνε χαιρετισμό και μίλησε με θερμά λόγια για το Διεθνές Πανεπιστήμιο.
Ο καθηγητής Γραμμένος κατά τη διάρκεια της συνέντευξης παρουσίασε το έργο που έχει γίνει από την ίδρυση του πανεπιστημίου και μεταξύ άλλων τόνισε ότι το Διεθνές Πανεπιστήμιο λειτουργεί «με τα πρότυπα Πανεπιστημίου με διεθνή παρουσία, διότι έτσι μόνο θα μπορέσει να διεκδικήσει θέση στο διεθνή χώρο.»
Στη συνέχεια ακολούθησαν οι παρουσιάσεις των σχολών: Οικονομίας και Διοίκησης από τον καθηγητή Νικόλαο Μουσιόπουλο, Επιστημών Τεχνολογίας από τον καθηγητή Ιωάννη Βλαχάβα, Ανθρωπιστικών Επιστημών από τον καθηγητή Βασίλη Γούναρη και των νομικών μεταπτυχιακών απο τον καθηγητή Αθανάσιο Καΐση.
Tο Διεθνές Πανεπιστήμιο Ελλάδος (www.ihu.edu.gr) ιδρύθηκε το 2005 (Νόμος 3391) και αποτελεί το πρώτο δημόσιο Ελληνικό Πανεπιστήμιο, που προσφέρει προγράμματα σπουδών αποκλειστικά στην Αγγλική γλώσσα. Νατάσα Θεοδωρίδου : Πώς θα εμφανιστεί στο «MadWalk»;

Στην κάμερα της εκπομπής «Πρωινό ΑΝΤ1» μίλησε η Νατάσα Θεοδωρίδου και αποκάλυψε πώς θα εμφανιστεί αύριο το βράδυ στην πασαρέλα του «MadWalk».
«Θα ακούσετε το “Απέναντι” και θα ακούσετε και μία ωραία διασκευή των Imam Baildi που εγώ έβαλα απλά τη φωνή μου, το “Ακρογιαλιές Δειλινά” του Βασίλη Τσιτσάνη» δήλωσε η γνωστή τραγουδίστρια για το τι θα τραγουδήσει στην αυριανή εμφάνισή της.
Πώς αποφάσισε όμως να πει «ναι» και να εμφανιστεί στο λαμπερό fashion event; «Κοιτάξτε ό,τι σχετίζεται με φιλανθρωπία είναι σαφώς σημαντικό και πρέπει να το στηρίζουμε όλοι με όποιον τρόπο μπορούμε» ξεκαθάρισε η ίδια ενώ για το αν θα περπατήσει και στην πασαρέλα αύριο είπε: «Αν θα περπατήσω δεν ξέρω, θα δω εκείνη την ώρα πως θα νιώσω. Θα φορέσω ένα πάρα πολύ ωραίο φόρεμα της Έφης Χατζηκωστή».
End, η Νατάσα Θεοδωρίδου δήλωσε πως δεν θα είναι ανάμεσα στο κοινό οι κόρες της επειδή: «Θα είναι αργά και τα παιδιά κοιμούνται εκείνες τις ώρες».

«Δεν ξέρουμε τι θα μας ξημερώσει»

Προβληματισμένη για την κατάσταση στην Ελλάδα η Ν. Δραγούμη
Για το ενδεχόμενο να μετακομίσει με την οικογένειά της εκτός Ελλάδος λόγω της οικονομικής κρίσης μίλησε η Ναταλία Δραγούμη, η οποία ήταν καλεσμένη σήμερα στο «Πρωινό ΑΝΤ1».

«Αν έφευγα θα πήγαινα στη Γερμανία. Γιατί στο θέατρο εκεί ίσως θα είχα πιο πολλές ευκαιρίες να δουλέψω. Έχω δουλέψει στο παρελθόν για δύο μήνες στο Βερολίνο. Είχαμε πάρει και βραβείο με την παράσταση που ανέβαζα στην Γερμανία» ανέφερε η ηθοποιός, τονίζοντας όμως: «Θα νομίζει ο κόσμος ότι φεύγω, δεν φεύγω. Απλά το συζητάμε με τον άντρα μου, στη χειρότερη των περιπτώσεων».

Την προβληματίζει όμως που τα παιδιά της μεγαλώνουν σε μια χώρα που μαστίζεται από κρίση; «Θα μεγαλώσουν και θα γίνουν μαχητές, από το να τα είχαν όλα έτοιμα. Μπορούμε να δούμε και τη θετική πλευρά όλων αυτών που περνάμε. […] Δεν έχω τον φόβο αυτό! Βασικά δεν ξέρουμε τι θα μας ξημερώσει! Δεν θέλω να ζω με αυτόν τον φόβο. Φυσικά μπορεί και να ζήσουν χειρότερα πράγματα αλλά μπορεί να τους κάνει και καλό. Από εκεί και πέρα δεν θέλουν υλικά πράγματα τα παιδιά, αγάπη θέλουν. Δεν χρειάζονται μεγαλεία» ξεκαθάρισε η Ναταλία Δραγούμη.
