Ενστάσεις της Εκκλησίας για τα αποτεφρωτήρια

Την αντίθεσή της στη δημιουργία
αποτεφρωτηρίων στα ενοριακά κοιμητήρια επικύρωσε η Διαρκής Ιερά Σύνοδος
κατά τη σημερινή της συνεδρίαση. Ο λόγος είναι ότι η ΔΙΣ υποστηρίζει πως
η απόφαση για την καύση ή την ταφή του σώματος θα πρέπει να λαμβάνεται
από τον εκλιπόντα, όσο βρίσκεται στη ζωή και όχι από τους συγγενείς του.


 

 

Όπως αναφέρει σε σχετική της ανακοίνωση η ΔΙΣ σκοπεύει να
ενημερώσει σχετικά την Πολιτεία ενώ αποφάσισε να απευθύνει ερώτημα στη
Συνοδική Επιτροπή Δογματικών και Νομοκανονικών Ζητημάτων, για το ποιες
είναι οι κανονικές συνέπειες από την καύση των νεκρών και αν η ενέργεια
αυτή είναι σύμφωνη με την πράξη και την παράδοση της Εκκλησίας.
