The German low cost carrier Eurowings offers new connections to Greek destinations in its summer flight schedule 2017 which has been started since 26 Of March. Eurowings now connects Vienna with Mytilini, Kavala, Samos and Santorini.   The connection to Mytilini will be made once a week, while twice a week there will be a connection with Santorini and Samos and three times with Kavala.   New connections are also being offered from Vienna to Birmingham, Brindisi, Ibiza, Paphos, Lamezia Therme, Madrid, Malta, Nice, Olpmia, Porto and Zadar.   With 34 destinations overall and 203 weekly flights, the Eurowings schedule from Vienna has almost doubled since last year. Bookings at the large tourist organization Thomas Cook for holidays in Greece are up by 40% this year, said CEO Peter Fankhauser, while he spoke of the first signs of recovery in tourist traffic to Turkey and Egypt. He stated that the Organization increased its capacity for Greece this season and that smaller destinations, like Cyprus, Bulgaria and Croatia, are also popular.   'Customer mood to holiday abroad is good in all our markets', Fankhauser stated, adding: After a slow start to the season and a difficult one 2016, we are seeing the first signs that customers are starting to return to Turkey and Egypt'.   Overall, bookings at Thomas Cook for the summer are up by 10% compared to the weak corresponding period last year.   Continue at source ...
