Dimitris Eipides, the man who inspired and founded it 1999 the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, which he ran from then to 2016 chooses 10 documentaries that will be presented at this year's event (3-12 Of March).  The festival honors a special man of the cinema, who for decades continues to passionately serve quality cinema. Not by chance, Jim Jarmus during his visit to the 54th FKTH had called him a 'navigator, godfather, guide to good cinema'. This year, Dimitris Eipides chooses recently produced documentaries (2005 – 2013) which he singled out from hundreds of others and presented in previous festival events. The risks are great, especially for the German economy, the newspaper Die Welt reports in its article. Ο έρωτας είναι ωραίος. Οι ορμόνες όμως είναι καλύτερες. Όταν είναι κανείς ερωτευμένος αισθάνεται πως αιωρείται στον έβδομο ουρανό ή ότι βλέπει τον κόσμο μέσα από ένα πολύχρωμο καλειδοσκόπιο. Στο σώμα του όμως επιδρά ένα σύστημα ορμονών που έχει κάθε άλλο παρά ρομαντικά ονόματα. Ο τρόπος με τον οποίο λειτουργεί αυτό το σύστημα δεν είναι απολύτως σαφής. Ποιός είναι όμως αυτός ο μυστηριώδης άγιος και από πού προέρχονται αυτές οι παραδόσεις; Ας ανατρέξουμε για λίγο πίσω στην ιστορία.  Ο μύθος πίσω από τον Αγιο Βαλεντίνο Η ιστορία του εορτασμού της Ημέρας του Αγίου Βαλεντίνου και η ιστορία του ομώνυμου αγίου, καλύπτεται από μυστήριο. Από όσο γνωρίζουμε μέχρι σήμερα, ο Φεβρουάριος τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες εορτάζεται ως μήνας του ρομαντισμού, ενώ ο εορτασμός της Ημέρας του Αγίου Βαλεντίνου περιέχει ίχνη τόσο από την χριστιανική, όσο και από την ρωμαϊκή παράδοση.
