A few days ago, η BMW αποκάλυψε τα χαρακτηριστικά κάποιων νέων μοντέλων M (π.χ M550d) αποσπώντας έτσι το αυξημένο ενδιαφέρον του διεθνούς ειδικού Τύπου. Αυτό που δεν μας είπε όμως η γερμανική φίρμα είναι η νέα εκρηκτική έκδοση που ετοιμάζει για την καινούρια Σειρά 1. Πρόκειται για το μοντέλο M135i για το οποίο μπορεί να μην έχουμε επίσημη φωτογραφία στα χέρια μας, γνωρίζουμε όμως κάποια από τα «παραμυθένια» τεχνικά του στοιχεία. More specifically, η M135i θα φέρει 3λιτρο 6κύλινδρο 2πλά υπερτροφοδοτούμενο μοτέρ με ισχύ που θα αγγίζει ή και θα ξεπερνά τους 320 horsepower, ενώ η ροπή του θα φτάνει τα 450 Nm. H παρουσίαση του αυτοκινήτου αναμένεται να γίνει στην έκθεση της Γενεύης, με την εν λόγω έκδοση να τοποθετείται φυσικά στην κορυφή της γκάμας της BMW 1. Άραγε θα δούμε και ακόμα ισχυρότερη έκδοση M όταν λανσαριστεί και η 3θυρη Σειρά 1;

Motor- Performances: Saves gasoline!
THE 1,6 Octavia5 common rail turbodiesel wins impressions with its torque and fuel economy. In fact, σε άμεση αντιπαράθεση με την έκδοση 1,2 TSI, το μοντέλο που δοκιμάσαμε ήταν ελάχιστα γρηγορότερο στα 0-100 km / h and obviously more willing to repeat (η έκδοση 1,2 TSI έχει 6άρι κιβώτιο πάντως). (CO2 emissions 119 g/km).

IN TEMPI : The tunnel "showed" a temple

It is from the 10th century, the first of this era to be found in the area and came "to light" after works in Kissavos

A temple of the middle Byzantine period, the only one found in the area, with a cemetery of later date, excavated in the valley of Tempe, in the framework of the works for the opening of the tunnels in Kissavos. The first evidence for the Byzantine temple was presented at an event of the association for the environment "Dryas", which took place in Larissa, the archaeologist, deputy head of the 7th Ephorate of Byzantine Antiquities, Stavroula Sdrolia.
"Traces of two mason banks of a sacred step were found, both in the central niche and in the south, evidence that there was a recently formed chapel", said Ms. Sdrolia in "Ethnos" and completed: "the northern portico is preserved at a lower level and shows traces of an older phase compared to that of the rest of the building".
The temple dates back to the 10th and 11th centuries and it is possible that it was destroyed by fire during the period of the Frankish conquest in 1024. It belongs to the type of road temple with a parapet, dimensions 12X11.60 meters, which bears to the east 3 semicircular niches. A cemetery was found in the surrounding area of the temple and many graves were excavated, several of which are of elaborate construction, which shows that the cemetery had organization and duration.
“So far they have been identified 50 graves, while the excavation continues and both the multiple burials and the frequent presence of young children can be attributed to an epidemic or other disaster", said Ms. Sdrolia. From the few findings of the tombs, they seem to date back to the 12th century., while the temple can be placed in the immediately preceding period.
The archaeologists point out that the lack of ceramics and other finds in the temple make it difficult to date it and they estimate that they will have safe conclusions when the excavation is completed and the study of the material proceeds. "The important thing is that it is the first temple of this era to be found in the area of Tempe, and the hypothesis of his connection with the bishopric of Lycostomi is tempting (Tempe), mentioned in Byzantine sources from the 10th century and has not been identified until today, while it is known to be transferred later ?between the 13th and 15th centuries- in Platamonas", said Ms. Rolls.
The temple is located to the east of the great and important Byzantine inn and at a distance of just 15 meters from it. The inn is a large one, rectangular building, length 27 meters and width 7 meters, with wide walls 1 meter, built on the site of a Roman station. The construction of the inn dates back to the time of Emperor Theophilos (829-842), and in fact traces of Hellenistic habitation and part of a cemetery were found under the complex.
The inn, extent 500 sq.m., offered a breath of relief, good food and wine to travelers who were almost walking 3 hours of walking in the valley, to reach Larissa or Northern Greece.

BOOK : Frida Kahlo. The life of an indomitable woman: Linde Zalber

The biography of the great and famous painter Frida Kahlo written by Linde Zalber titled Frida Kahlo – The life of an indomitable woman, published by Melani publications.
"I'm not sick. I'm broken. But I'm happy as long as I can paint"
"Like a ribbon wrapped around a bomb". This is how Andre Breton described Frida Kahlo's art. The characterization, however, could refer to the fancy painter herself, her colorful Mexican dresses over a mutilated body, full of pain, but also wild lust for life. Others called her the "Saint of female art". Others know mainly about her stormy love life, her passion for the love of her life, the Mexican painter Diego Rivera, whom she married twice, but also her many lovers, men and women, among whom was Leon Trotsky, then exiled in Mexico. But mainly, Frida Kahlo is one of the greatest painters of the 20th century, the first maybe, who dared to break the male rules that defined art until then and one of the few women of her time who managed to live with such freedom and intensity overcoming pain and illness and completely revealing herself through her work.
Neither does Derain, neither do you, me neither, none of us can make a head like Frida's.
Pablo Picasso
Her art is certainly not the perfect method of discovering oneself and, regardless of external appearance to make him more beautiful. It is something much more. An approach to ourselves, in what can be done, to "not yet" – nothing is considered final, everything adds up – a search of the form which, when found, responds to Yeats's aesthetic: "everything is transformed, they change completely. A hideous beauty ensues.”
Carlos Fuentes, Illustrated calendar, 1995
THE AUTHOR
Linde Zalber PhD in Psychology and psychotherapist was born in 1944 in Tydz, Pomerania and works at the University of Cologne. Her specialty is the relationship between an artist's life and work.
