DIMITRIOS MANTES My dear friends, all of you who immediately showed your satisfaction in this movement of mine, thank you very much. Today more than ever there is a need to trust our LANGUAGE and rely on its timeless value. It is OUR NATIONAL HERITAGE and I find it completely unthinkable and unfair, to exist…y people of any age who are thirsty to make it an estate and a bequest, but they can't, or because they are abroad, either because the obligations became so many and the movements difficult and time-consuming. Please support this effort of national importance, those of you who understand the difficulty but also the need of this undertaking and to spread it to every person, to every Greek and Philhellene. The Greek Language as the mother of all languages, it upgrades man and promotes him with real values, in an unattainable knowledge,cultural and humanitarian level, where every possibility of deviation and misunderstanding in the modern globalized kykyeon, is annihilated.

The premiere of the Melbourne Greek Student Film Festival was successfully held at Como Palace Cinema, in the context of the 17th Greek Film Festival.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Christos Salamanis, Consul General of Greece in Melbourne, the expatriate Federal Member of Parliament Maria Vamvakinou, the expatriate State Undersecretary Jenny Mikakos, officials as well as a crowd of people, of parents and students that overwhelmed the two theaters where the students' film creations were shown.
The program was a product of the cooperation of the Education Office of the Consulate General of Greece in Melbourne, of the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne and Victoria, of the Antipodes Festival and the Victorian Ministry of Education and was kindly sponsored by the Victorian Multicultural Commission.
Overall, 21 movies, duration 4 minutes each, creations of government college students, evenings/Saturdays (community and ecclesiastical) and private schools in Victoria, where the Greek language is taught, as well as students of the Greek studies departments of the Universities of Victoria, they competed in four categories and won 12 awards (three per category), which was accompanied by a cash prize.
The award criteria were;: a) creativity and imagination b) Amount and appropriateness of language used and c) Technical picture and sound quality.

Citroen DS9 in production!

The impressive ultra-luxury and hybrid concept of Citroen that we met with the code name "Metropolis", it looks like it will finally go into production. This will be done under the name Citroen DS9 which fits in any case with the new nomenclature of the company. 
The CEO of Citroen Asia, Gregoire Olivier confirms the rumors that wanted the top model of the French company to go into production. The car that became known as the Metropolis will be launched in the Chinese market as the DS9 which will place it at the top of the brand's models. In his related statements at a conference in Shanghai, China, Olivier stated that: “Metropolis will be built, while its styling cues will be used to build a premium sedan in China.”. But what was not announced is whether there will be a corresponding European version of the DS9, as well as when the production of the model will start.
The dimensions of the impressive car reach 5,3 meters for length, the 2 meters for the width, and the 1,4 meters for height, while the HYmotion4 hybrid system will take care of its movement. This one uses a V6 engine, 2 liters with 272 horsepower to the front axle, and an electric motor that drives the rear wheels. Its final performance will be the 460 horses and the 430 Nm of torque, while a dual-clutch automatic transmission will be used 7 relations.

The production of the new Citroen DS4 Crossover enters its final phase, which will be presented as a prototype at the Geneva International Motor Show next month.
It will appear in the exhibition with two doors, while the company intends to produce it as a four-door at the beginning 2011, when it will take the production route. Ambition is to be a capable opponent of the respective models Nissan Juke and Mini Countryman, which will soon be released on European roads.
Like DS3, DS4s will feature an upgraded interior and a wide range of options will allow owners to customize their car to their liking. In everything,what about the engines, information suggests that it is likely to be borrowed from the C4 range.
