Antonis Kanakis : His new professional step – surprise!

Directing a movie, of which he has also written the script, is going to take over, according to a publication of the newspaper "Espresso", Antonis Kanakis.

It is a social story, a "story with very sensitive but also... accusatory aspects", as the publication typically states. Now, it remains for the well-known presenter to complete his appointments with production companies that will co-finance his new venture.

The filming, according to today's plan, will start in the spring of 2013, so that by November of the same year the film would be ready to hit the theaters.

ANTONIS KANAKIS : What is his real last name

We all know him as Antonis Kanakis.

However, this is not the real name of the presenter of Radio Arvyla.

His name is Antonis Doumas and, as we learned, choose it “Kanakis” when he was into pirate radio.

It was common at the time for radio pirates to go on the air under fake names. Later, when he got on TV, he kept it since everyone knew him as Kanaki.

It is perhaps the only case where the real surname, Dumas, it sounds more artistic than fake, Kanakis.

Adonis Georgiades : The answer to Antonis Kanakis

His response to the strong criticism that Antonis Kanakis has leveled at him in recent days through "Radio Arvyla", given by Adonis Georgiadis speaking on the "Ionio FM" radio station.

"Mr. Kanakis is obviously my ideological opponent and he's spewing all the bile this side of the political spectrum spews.. I don't want to send him a message, we are not friends, nor associates. Unless he understands for himself that to play a man from morning to night is a kind of madness, what can i say; I've gotten used to criticism over the years. I have a high degree of tolerance, i can tell you. I'm a little thick-skinned. (…) Kanakis is obsessed with me, not empathy.(…) I don't mind being satirized, I've been used to it for so many years. But within the week they overdid it to the point of obsession. The whole show was dedicated to me," he said.
