There is no place for Hector Barbera in MotoGP

All the "premium" positions have been closed in MotoGP. The same with the supporting actors, of riders riding for the satellite teams. The only empty saddles left are those of the Honda Gresini, who has not yet decided between the Spies, Alvaro Bautista, Scott Redding and maybe Jonathan Rea.

And Hector Barbera; Where is the future of the Spaniard who for the second time in 2 chronically injured in the spine, however, avoiding the worst… He is unlucky; Maybe very lucky; Or it is a warning of fate;

Anyway, beyond the health problem, ο Hector πρέπει πλέον να ψάξει και για δουλειά. Η Ducati, είτε μέσω της Pramac είτε όχι, σκοπεύει του χρόνου να κατεβάσει τη λεγόμενη Ομάδα Junior, δηλαδή νέους αναβάτες σε εργοστασιακές μοτοσυκλέτες, in order to build its future and move faster in the evolution of Desmosedici.

Many have been convinced of the correctness of the "Youth Team" plan announced by Alessandro Cicognani a month ago, with the optimistic prediction that "it will be ready by the end of August". Ducati designs, even if they are slow to materialize, they mean no saddle for Hector on the Ducati.

That's bad, but worse that the Spaniard does not seem to be included in the plans of any of the team-managers of the existing teams.

The unfortunate Barbera - who before breaking his leg in training, he had started from the front row for the first time in his career at Mugello- missed Laguna Seca, then tried to drive with a broken leg at Indianapolis.

All he managed was to fall on a nasty highside and crack 3 vertebrae in Elefthera of Paraskevi. Now looking for a saddle, ο σε «αναρρωτική» αναβάτης της Pramac Ducati έχει αρχίσει να χτυπάει τις πόρτες των ομάδων CRT, προκειμένου να συνεχίσει να οδηγεί μαζί με τους «μεγάλους».

Rumor has it he has already held talks with Team BQR who are running two FTR-Kawasakis and their riders Yonny Hernandez / Ivan Silva. He has also spoken to Forward Racing and Marc VDS (which is likely to rise the 2013 in MotoGP), but also with his former boss Jorge Aspar Martinez.

The Spanish manager admitted that he has spoken to Barbera's agent, but not with the rider himself. However, he seems to prefer his former rider's return to GP250 and GP125 (where they took a title together), Alvaro Bautista.

Their relationships 3 parts are a bit complicated: when 'Aspar' moved up to MotoGP the 2010, had tried to woo Bautista - but he didn't want to ride a Ducati and preferred Paul Denning's team representing Suzuki. And so Martinez was "forced" to take Barbera. Which, if it does not find a CRT group, he should probably drop down to Moto2 –in the footsteps of many other 250ers such as Toni Elias, Mika Kallio, Alex de Angelis, Anthony West, Roberto Rolfo και Yuki Takahashi.

Or try his luck in the world Superbike...

Yamaha dominated the second day of MotoGP testing

Yamaha's factory rider duo, namely Ben Spies and Jorge Lorenzo, they completed the second day, Wednesday of the tests in Sepang at the top of the charts - but in the absence of the Hondas.

Lorenzo tested an engine with different specifications, όπως και ο Ben Spies που επιπλέον οδήγησε διάφορες παραλλαγές του ηλεκτρονικού πακέτου που ελέγχει τα πάντα στη μοτοσυκλέτα του.

Δήλωσε κατόπιν ο Jorge Lorenzo: "We started with a different engine to the one in the previous Sepang test a month ago. But today the comparison of the two engines was difficult, because the track conditions were much worse then and our times slower. The rain did not allow us to complete the day's program, so we have to try harder tomorrow. However, the response of the engine was better today and the entry into the corner was easier".

“I really liked the new engine, it is easier to drive, especially when turning. I feel like I have more traction in the back, which gives me confidence and I can drive the rear wheel even further in a controlled manner. The tears are also smaller now”, completed.

On the other, Ben Spies noted: "Everything went well in the morning. We waited for the weather to improve in the afternoon because the Yamaha engineers had made sure to load us with lots of new parts, so we didn't have time to deal with what everyone else was doing. We have to focus on our work, so that we can methodically check all refurbished parts and evaluate them. We only hope for better weather".

In the first two days all the drivers had a problem with the grip on the Sepang circuit. This is primarily due to the fact that the track surface was very dirty, from the car races that had been held there just a week earlier. But it is also due to Bridgestone's new single tires with a less rigid frame, but which contribute to the creation of chatter, i.e. high-frequency bounces of the rear wheels, especially when braking to enter a turn.

In general, the weather in Sepang at this time of year is good. The temperatures are not too hot but enough to dry the track after the regular afternoon rain. This year, Nevertheless, the midday rain turned out to be a long-lasting storm and prevented the teams from completing their program on the first and second day. Thursday is the last day of official testing.

THE Checha is testing her Desmo of Rossi
A few days ago, the Ducati test team, managed by the technical director, Filippo Preziosi, completed a three-day test at the Spanish circuit of Jerez, with Carlos Checa and Franco Battaini. The two riders completed a leg in the GP12, which will later be ridden by the team's official riders, Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden. During these three days, in which the weather conditions were cold, but fortunately dry, the program went off without a hitch and all the necessary investigations were done to start the winter testing in Malaysia. Very little information has been leaked to the press, with Carlos Checa simply declaring (on Twitter) that everything went very well and that he is completely satisfied.

Karel Abraham: The new GP12 is powerful and fast
After the tests done by Checa – Battaini in Jerez, Ducati Corse may not be saying much about the new Ducati Desmosedici GP12, but this did not stop Karel Abraham from "witnessing" a few details about the new Italian ati. The Czech rider will ride a stronger and faster bike this year in the Moto GP class. The new Ducati GP12 is powered by a four-stroke, four-cylinder engine, 1000 Mr. cm., has 250 horsepower, while its maximum speed is 360 km/h! This year's model has an aluminum deltabox frame that replaces last year's carbon fiber frame. Cardion AB Motoracing's personnel manager, Marco Grana, having recently returned from the Bologna factory, he explained: “At first glance the bike may look similar to last year's model, but under the fairing is a cluster of significant changes.”

“Next Sunday, during the Valencia Grand Prix, instead of a minute of silence in memory of Marco, I'd rather have a minute of chaos with all the Moto GP bikes, of Moto 2 and of 125 Mr. from. to march together", were the words of Paolo Simoncelli, who then completed, that the world's love makes him feel better.

"People came from all over Italy, but also from abroad to say goodbye to Markos. Sometimes I think Marco was an angel, all this love makes me feel better and that helps us all. I think all that love comes from his smile.", he added.
