A premiere for Porsche 911 Carrera 4

The first official photos of the youngsters, all-wheel-drive Carrera versions 4 and 4S, of the evergreen 911 were made public, a month before the car's presentation at the Paris show.

The family of the new 911, with internal code 991, grows up. The reason for the addition of four-wheel drive versions to its range, Carrera S and 4S, which will be offered both in closed, as well as in its convertible version. As with previous generations of Carrera all-wheel drive, the main way they stand out from the rear-wheel drive versions is the logo on the back and the reflective tape that connects the taillights.

So far no information has been made public regarding the cars and, mainly, with the four-wheel drive system they carry. However, they are expected to use a retuned-improved suspension that will add some weight. On the part of the engines, in any case, there will be no differences. The Carrera 4 uses their motor 3,4 liter, with direct injection and power 345 horsepower while the Carrera 4S the largest 3,8 set with 394 horsepower. Like A dream…Porsche 911 Cabriolet Race

The presentation to the public of the car of the new generation of Porsche continues 911, with the unveiling of the Carrera Cabriolet, which will go on sale from March 2012.
There is of course no change in its publishing strategy, which has been very successful for decades. The "simple" Carrera will be offered with their flat 6-cylinder engine 3.4 liter, return 350 horses. As for "S", it will have the equivalent of 3.8 liter, entry 400 horses.
Both engines will be mated to a new seven-speed manual gearbox, which coupe versions also use. Optionally, of course, it will be equipped with the seven-speed double clutch Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK).
