Νέοι κινητήρες BMW 1,5, με ισχύ έως 224 horsepower!

Μία νέα, πολλά υποσχόμενη γενιά τρικύλινδρων κινητήρων ανακοίνωσε η BMW η οποία αναμένεται να φέρει τα πάνω κάτω, από μηχανολογικής απόψεως, με τη φιλοσοφία και τις τεχνολογίες που ενσωματώνουν.

Με στόχο να μπει στην παραγωγή το 2013, σε μοντέλα που δεν έχει ξεκαθαρίσει ακόμα, η BMW παρουσίασε μία νέα, πολλά υποσχόμενη, γενιά κινητήρων χαμηλού κυβισμού, βενζίνης και πετρελαίου. Η βάση τους αφορά έναν 1,5 TwinPower turbo με έλεγχο μεταβολής φορτίου, άμεσο ψεκασμό και Valvetronic (στις βενζινοκίνητες εκδόσεις). Η κοινή χρήση μηχανικών μερών σε ποσοστό 60% μεταξύ των βενζινοκινητήρων και των πετρελαιοκινητήρων, εξασφαλίζει σημαντική οικονομία, σε επίπεδα εξέλιξης και παραγωγής, according to BMW.

Ο κάθε κύλινδρος είναι χωρητικότητας περίπου 500 κ.εκ. σχεδιασμένος έτσι ώστε να εξασφαλίζει υψηλή θερμοδυναμική απόδοση και αθόρυβη, ομαλή λειτουργία. Με στόχο μάλιστα την ελαχιστοποίηση των κραδασμών, χρησιμοποιείται μία ειδική διάταξη, που προσφέρει, σύμφωνα με τους μηχανικούς της εταιρίας, εξαιρετικά στρωτή λειτουργία.

Συγκεκριμένες πληροφορίες δεν έχουν ακόμα δοθεί στη δημοσιότητα, γνωρίζουμε όμως ότι οι εκδόσεις των βενζινοκινητήρων θα αποδίδουν από 121 to 224 horsepower, with 180-240 Nm of torque. Οι diesel, on the other side, θα προσφέρουν ισχύ 82-184 horsepower and torque 225-330 Nm.
