Perez pleased

ΟSergio Perez, one of two Sauber drivers, after the fastest time he set on day 3 of testing in Barcelona, hopes for a season full of surprises.
Perez is quite happy with Sauber's car this year and believes it has the potential for a better racing season than last year. This was also shown by the good performance of the Texan on the 3rd day of the last tests at the Spanish track, where he managed to record the fastest time. In C31, according to the Sauber driver, a very good job has been done by the people of his team.

As he himself mentions, this year his car knows it much better and he believes that with this course there may be several surprises in Melbourne. The settings of the car are what the Texan wants and he is happy with them. But he pretty much knows how competitive his team is, they just might have gone up a notch.

Lotus… can!

.

According to the words of the head of Lotus, Eric Boullier, his team has shown a very positive image in the tests, which means he will fight hard for the podium.

Lotus this year seemed to be able to fight and take a better position than last year. The head of Lotus is very satisfied with the performance of his team, while he did not disappoint and did not lose his stamina at all when during the winter tests in Jerez, one car had some problems with its chassis. It may have delayed the team's schedule a bit, nevertheless with hard work they managed to find the E20 in the last tests of the season, with Kimi Raikkonen finishing first on the final day in Barcelona.

More specifically, Eric Boullier mentioned that they are very close to the strong teams (Red Bull and McLaren) and the time difference has decreased quite a bit compared to last year. So, this year, with enough pressure and certainly a bit of luck, the E20 will follow the... fast cars, perhaps threatening their position.

Volvo: The pedestrian airbag

The Swedish brand made another world first, which applied to the new V40 model the pedestrian protection technology through a… external airbag.
In order to mitigate the consequences if a collision with a pedestrian is unavoidable, the Volvo V40 is equipped with the world's first airbag for pedestrians- a security feature that has been fully developed very recently.

Its operation is as follows: Sensors in the front bumper record the extent of contact between the car and the pedestrian.
