Presentation – New Fiat Punto 2012

The differences are therefore found in the bumpers which are now entirely painted in the color of the body, except for the front which of course has fewer black grills. The car's aluminum wheels are also of a new design, while 3 new metallic colors (Gray, red, turquoise) as well as 1 special green exclusively for TwinAir, are now added to the range.

After the 500 and Panda, the Punto 2012 will be the third Fiat model to receive their all-new twin-cylinder TwinAir engine 0,9 liter. With the help of the turbo, their motor 875 κ.εκ. will offer 85 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque, to combine good performance with low consumption and CO2 emissions. Characteristic here is that the average consumption announced by Fiat amounts to 4,2 l. of gasoline per 100 km. and CO2 emissions only reach the 98 g/km, thus exempting the car from road tax. The range of engines will be completed by gasoline engines 1,2 and 1,4 l. (8V) with 69 and 77 PS, but also with them 1,4 MultiAir of 105 and 135 horses. To the diesels, the 1,300 MultiJet II will come with 75, 85 and 95 horsepower. End, there will also be LPG and natural gas versions.

The steering wheel, on the other hand, is light and contributes to maneuverability in the city, while the comfort from the suspension is at good levels for the category. The brakes end the car in our first driving contact abroad, they proved to have very good pedal efficiency and feel.

Δεν «κόπηκε» η νέα μικρή Porsche

Παρά τις πληροφορίες που έλεγαν ότι η Porsche είχε παγώσει τα σχέδια για τη δημιουργία ενός νέου μικρού roadster, φαίνεται πως τελικά αυτό ανατρέπεται και το αποτέλεσμα θα είναι εντυπωσιακό.

Μερικούς μήνες πριν ο Μatthias Mueller, CEO της Porsche είχε βάλει ο ίδιος το «φρένο» στα σχέδια της εταιρείας του για να επενδύσει σε ένα νέο μικρό roadster που θα τοποθετούνταν στη βάση της γκάμας της φίρμας. Now, το κορυφαίο στέλεχος της γερμανικής φίρμας επιβεβαίωσε πως τελικά αυτό δεν θα ισχύσει, αφού έχει ήδη ξεκινήσει η εξέλιξη του αυτοκινήτου και η οποία μάλιστα συνεχίζεται με γρήγορους ρυθμούς. Ερωτηματικό βέβαια παραμένει ακόμα το πότε θα λανσαριστεί τελικά αυτή η «πιο προσιτή» ανοιχτή Porsche, τον κύριο Mueller να δηλώνει ότι αυτό μπορεί να γίνει σύντομα, ή ίσως σε 3 χρόνια ή ακόμα και σε 6, ανάλογα με το πότε θα κριθεί σωστό εμπορικά.

New Ford Mondeo

Alongside, the new midsize Ford will be the brand's first global family, since it will be sold the same – only the name changes – in North America, in Asia and Europe.

Emphasized dynamism
More cast lines, new grille with a large grille and long narrow front lights, but also a lower roof that casts furtive glances towards the 4-door coupes, are the main features of the presence of the new Mondeo. In the back section, the raised volume and trapezoidal lights are reminiscent of the corresponding part of the current Mondeo, without, however, depriving anything of the modern quality of the car. Dimensionally, it is too early to know the exact figures of the new midsize Ford, but it is expected not to be significantly different from the current Mondeo, and maybe only the lower ceiling will make a difference. Overall though, the new Mondeo is expected to be even more dynamic and imposing than before.

Even more high-tech interior
The interior of the new Ford Mondeo may not have been officially unveiled, but it is not expected to differ from what the company showed us in the American Fusion. So at first sight, it seems that, we will see a fairly modern result that will convey the high technological background of the car. The design of the dashboard is impressive, which looks set to have two large digital displays on either side of the centrally-mounted speedometer, to display the tachometer, but also the navigation system and trip computer information. Corresponding high-tech elements are incorporated in the central console, with the large info screen dominating the Sony sound system. In the quality field, we again expect high standards for class data, while Ford refers particularly to the part of significantly improved sound insulation.

In the spotlight again are the EcoBoosts
In the new Ford Mondeo the gasoline engines of the EcoBoost series that we met in the renewed existing Mondeo, they will once again be the main protagonists of the range. With turbo and direct injection, these motors of 1,6 and 2,0 liter, they will combine very good performance and performance, with fuel economy and low CO2 emissions. Alongside, in the range there will again be diesel engines in corresponding displacements with those of gasoline engines. However, it is possible that for the first time in its history, the new Mondeo will also receive hybrid versions, so as to offer even more economy and ecology of movement. In everything,what about his American "brother"., the Fusion, there we have already seen its hybrid versions that use a gasoline engine for their movement 2,0 liters and an electric motor. The "simple" hybrid uses the energy stored in the batteries, while the other, under the name "Energi", it can also charge the batteries from an external power supply.

Audi is interested in Ducati;!

Rumors of a very big "wedding" are spreading abroad, that of Audi and Ducati. If they are verified then we are dealing with a very interesting deal.

Honda Jazz Si:With a sporty character

In her booth Honda in Geneva, besides the others, there was a new version of Jazz, η Yes, which will currently be sold only in England and has a sportier character.
Honda presented at the Geneva Motor Show a new version of the Jazz, which features a sporty styling package offering a more dynamic look. The Honda Jazz Si is equipped only with a manual transmission and is combined with the 1,2 or 1,4 lt engines.

According to Honda, the actual cost of the Si version's equipment comes to approx 2.390 euro, but whoever wishes will be able to choose it only with 1.040 euro. More specifically. the package includes a new chrome front grille, a set 16 inch wheels and a larger rear spoiler. The name of the new version of the Jazz is sewn into various parts of the interior.

End, the new Si version of the Honda Jazz will go on sale in the UK from April 1st for now, while those interested in obtaining the Si will have to pay approx 15.360 euro for it 1,2 l. and 16.160 euro for it 1,4 l.
